My take on the glass slippers is that they were symbols that represented Cinderella's AKA Ella's true identity. They were unique, delicate, and they have been described as "a gift", and then she lost one (man I hate when that happens). Sometimes in life we lose, misplace, or neglect those gifts that make us happy, or identifies who we truly are. It could be a hobby or a passion, a different occupation, it could be traveling, it could be just taking the time to figure it out.
