I see individual people.

I see you.

Someone who’s choosing to spend their precious time learning, practicing

and striving to make the piano sound more beautiful.

That still blows my mind.

So next week, I’m doing something special to say thank you.

I’m calling it Week of Gratitude..

Here’s the scoop:

Four of the five deals are over 50% off. đŸ€Ż

Did you know that I think about you every day?

Not in a creepy way
 😅

I’m just so grateful that you’re part of this piano-loving community.

When I was earning my piano performance degrees

One of the best parts was being surrounded by people who loved the piano as much as I did.

It was the first time I’d ever experienced that.

Even as a kid in lessons, piano was mostly solitary.

So to suddenly spend my days living, breathing, and soaking up music with people who got it

It was magic. đŸȘ„

And then, after school, I lost that.

Sure, I had students and colleagues

But I didn’t have a large and thriving community that was as obsessed with piano as I was.

Now I do.

It’s you.

And the thousands of others here who not only love the piano, but strive for artistry.

So, thank you for being here. 💛

I’m planning something special for you next week

A way for me to share that gratitude by helping you reach new levels at the piano.

Each day, something special will be coming your way.

But the ONLY way to be in the know is to make sure you get my emails.

I won't be posting about it here.....

It's exclusive for the email community.

So if you want to make sure you hear the exclusive announcement...

Comment "GRATITUDE WEEK" below and I'll send you the link to get on the list.

Trust me, you won't want to miss this.

Did you know that I often give conflicting advice?

Sometimes I tell my students to make accuracy the highest priority.

And sometimes I tell them to ignore and disregard all of their mistakes.

đŸ€”

Which doesn’t make a lot of sense
.

Because those contradict each other.

But what a lot of piano players don’t realize is that there are two types of practice.

And the wild thing is that these two types of practice are different.

When you’re learning a piece:

Accuracy is the highest priority.

This means:

You need to notice each mistake and fix it.

When you’re performing a piece:

You need to ignore your mistakes.

Because if you notice every mistake and allow yourself to get distracted by them
.

You’ll likely make more mistakes.

And this completely distracts you.

It disrupts the musicality and flow.

And you likely won’t be able to perform the piece if you’re distracted.

So keep this in mind when you practice:

Focus on accuracy when learning.

Ignore your mistakes when you’re practicing performing.

This balance
knowing when to correct and when to let go

Is something every piano player needs to learn.

Because confidence under pressure doesn’t come from perfection.

It comes from knowing how to practice both sides:

The accuracy and the flow.

And if you want the exact strategies my students use this process to master it this concept, comment "CALM" below and I'll send it to you!

Take a look at this photo....

Amy did one thing here that I really don’t want you to miss:

She questioned her long held beliefs.

Amy’s been playing for years
she knew how to count.

But she always thought she was just “terrible at rhythm.”

And instead of accepting that

She bravely tried something new.

She was willing to believe that perhaps there was a better way.

And after she followed the methods taught in this course
.

She said, “Suddenly, magically, my playing improved significantly!”

That’s the power of using the right technique instead of trying harder with the wrong one.

Amy thought she was just “bad at rhythm.”

Turns out, she’d simply never been taught how to practice it the right way.

Everything I teach is for a reason.

It works.

If Amy can do it, you can too.

Every single one of my students are just normal, everyday people.

They’re not childhood prodigies.

They’re adults with a passion to play beautifully

.and the courage to make a change.

If you’re ready to stop winging it or hoping it’ll ‘work itself out’ and finally feel steady, confident, and in control of your rhythm

Comment "MASTER IT" below and I'll send you the link to the course she took.
