If someone you love was told they only had a 13% chance to survive... what would you do?
That number isn’t just a statistic. It’s the reality of pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest major cancers, with a five-year survival rate of just 13%. It’s the disease that took Brian. When his cancer progressed beyond what treatments could offer, it left all of us family, friends, and followers with a heartbreak that still feels impossible to put into words.

We are not allowing Brian’s story to end there. We are taking steps to make a positive impact.

We’ve partnered with ‪@SkyPCResearch‬ to further their mission for earlier detection, better treatments, and most of all, hope. Tonight, at their Night Sky Gala, Lori will share Brian’s journey not just his diagnosis, but his courage and love.

Pancreatic cancer may be underfunded and overlooked, but together... we can change that.

To everyone who loved and followed Brian, we are continuing to carry on his legacy in many ways. This is how we make sure his story lights the way forward in the hope of giving new opportunities to those that Brian did not have access to because...

The YouTube Creator Collective at LegaSea Aquarium’s Grand Opening was an absolute blast! We are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who came out to join us on this special day!

To all the incredible creators who joined us, your energy, passion, and creativity made this event one for the books. Huge thanks to YouTube for not only hosting but creating a space where we could connect, celebrate, and inspire one another. A massive shoutout to Amy and Elyse from the YouTube team for all your support, and to Mi’a and Bobby from Creative Duality for helping bring everything to life. Grand Opening marked an extraordinary milestone for us, and it’s a moment we’ve dreamed of for years. The ribbon cutting at LegaSea Aquarium was not just the opening of a new place; it was the beginning of a new chapter for our community, one where education, conservation, and connection with animals take center stage. The journey to this moment has been incredibly emotional, and we couldn’t have made it here without the support of so many; most importantly, you, our community.

When we first began this journey, it was with the shared vision of Brian and Lori Barczyk and Steve Bashi, whose passion for animals and education sparked the idea of LegaSea Aquarium. Brian’s dream was always to create a space where people could connect and interact with all different kinds of animals. Now, we’re finally able to say that his dream has come true.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Gus and Mark Hackel, County Executive, whose unwavering support was essential in bringing this dream to life. Their commitment to our community helped make LegaSea a reality.

And, of course, our deepest thanks to you, the Reptile Army. Your enthusiasm, support, and belief in this project, along with Brian’s dream, have been the heart of this journey. LegaSea Aquarium is yours as much as it is ours, and we can’t wait to continue growing together, offering educational programs, events, and much more in the years to come.

This is just the beginning, and there’s so much more to explore, learn, and discover. We have exciting new projects and builds planned for the future as we continue to grow and expand. We hope you’ll continue to visit and see all that LegaSea Aquarium and The Reptarium has to offer!
