Since the CCRB investigation has gone to board review, all of a sudden, the precinct wants to start holding monthly council meetings to "bridge the police and community together". In the 14 years I've lived here they have never done this.

The procedure was painful but mostly uncomfortable. I'm still swollen but getting better. Unfortunately, the doctor said that my thyroid will never go back to its natural size so I'm just dealing with that right now.

It's been 129 days of nothing but pain and mental torment. I don't know how to fix what they damaged... They took everything from me

Happy Monday beautiful people 🀎

Wishing you all a light heart and a calm spirit this week.

This weekend was a bit of a challenge for me. Emotional rollercoaster is an apt description.

I wanted to take a second to tell allyuh about my friend and the impact she had on me.

To have someone who believes in you fully is such an underrated joy. I met her by random chance and she was such a gift.

This beautiful soul trusted me so much that she was the first person who EVER bought and used my deep conditioning cleanser. I told her that I wasn't sure if I wanted to share that part of my journey with anyone but she was so supporting and encouraging that I took the leap and she switched all the products she used for her kids hair to mine.

When I started making videos, she would watch them with her youngest daughter as a way to get her to love her hair. She told her I was a scientist and baby girl said she wanted to be just like me. I adore that little girl and I wanted to do anything just to keep her motivated.

Even though I don't sell anymore, it's because of my friend and her kids that I originally started expanding my product line and business. I wanted to give them everything.

I can hear her voice telling me to push through all the nonsense and keep posting because baby girl was watching and wanted to see more πŸ˜”

Because I've lost so many people in life, I know not to leave anything unsaid. Even though she's gone, I'm happy she knew how amazing and impactful I thought she was to me.

We won't get to grow old and gray together and that breaks my heart but I'm happy I got the chance to know such an amazing person.

Forever my person.
Forever a light.
Forever my friend!!
Love you Mendie 🀎
Next slice of that nasty cheesecake and a pack of pumpkin seeds are on me 🀭

Tell people you love and appreciate them when they can still feel the warmth of those words.

Happy September beautiful people 🀎

I wish for you all a light heart and peaceful spirit this month.
I just found out a very beautiful person passed away. She was the best of the best. She always did for others and never really asked for much. She deserved so much more than she got in this life and I'm gutted knowing she didn't get her happy ending.

I beg you all, treat each other with kindness. Not because life is short but because it can make someone's time here a bit more tolerable and peaceful.

It's not hard to be kind. It's not a bad thing to make someone's day better. The little things matter.
