Egg Whisperer Show

In 2016, Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh, started her weekly Egg Whisperer Show as a way of promoting fertility awareness. Met with her characteristic kindness and humor, Dr. Aimee’s focus on the Egg Whisperer Show is to provide information to her audience that they can not find anywhere else, and present it in a way that is accessible, and easy to understand.

Each week she takes to Facebook Live and YouTube from her studio to talk about topics that range from debunking fertility myths, to sharing about fertility procedures, and providing practical tips on giving oneself fertility shots. She also interviews expert guests who share about topics such as nutrition, acupuncture, men’s fertility, and sperm.

Egg Whisperer Show

A past patient of mine gave me a sign that sits behind my desk. It says: “By touching so many lives, you have changed the world.” And while she might have meant that I’m changing the world by helping fertility patients, I keep it as a reminder of how much I owe to my patients for letting me live my dream.

I have wanted to be a fertility doctor for as long as I can remember (it runs in the family!❤️) Every time I get to help someone in their fertility journey, it brings me so much joy. I love waking up every day to do my job. I love seeing the passion and resilience of my patients, and how they keep moving forward despite any setbacks because they want and believe in their dreams so deeply. It’s truly inspiring.

I experience the truth of this quote from Harriet Tubman every day. And the best part is that my great dream actually starts with *your* dream.

You may think that what you want only affects you and your family, but wanting to bring so much love into the world creates a huge ripple effect.

Because you have this dream, other fertility patients who see you moving through this with so much strength and grace (yes, even when you don’t feel like you are,) and they have another example of how and why they should keep going.

Because you have this dream of growing your family: you will change the world. Following your dream to bring another person into the world will send ripples into the next generation: a ripple of love, kindness, and determination.

Because you have this dream, I am able to live my dream of getting to help others live theirs.

Egg Whisperer Show

Read my feature in Parents Magazine: www.parents.com/advocates-changing-the-way-we-talk…

I’m honored to share that I’m featured in Parents magazine’s “8 Advocates Changing the Way We Talk About Infertility.”

The piece brings together a diverse group of voices (doctors, advocates, community-builders) to show how the conversation around fertility is shifting. It highlights efforts to make fertility care more inclusive, affordable, and transparent, raises awareness of male-factor infertility, financial and access barriers, stigma around age and non-traditional paths to parenthood, and the power of community and open conversation.

And, this is so important: both that the conversation about fertility is changing AND that a prominent publication like Parents is highlighting these changes.

In the article, I talk about why I show up the way I do for patients and why I’m so committed to education. I share how all of you sparkles have helped to create a community around the Egg Whisperer Show that has become a place where people can ask real questions and feel supported. You all shine for each other, especially during Ask The Egg Whisperer! This has become a space where people feel safe asking questions, learning about their bodies, and feeling less alone.

It's an honor to be included with a set of superstars who all shine so brightly as well: Ali Prato of Fertility Rally, Ronit Menashe and Vida Delrahim - the creators of WeNatal, Claire Tomkins of Future Fertility, Dr. Julian Escobar of Conceive Fertility Center, and Dr. Temeka Zore - a fertility specialist out of San Francisco.

I’m proud to stand alongside these incredible voices and grateful for all of you who make this work so meaningful.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed trying to understand IVF, please know that you’re not alone.

IVF Class to the rescue!

When you’re confused about something, it can feel so disheartening. And when you’re confused about how to make one of your biggest dreams come true? You can feel downright powerless. But, as I like to tell my patients: “Education = Choices = Empowerment.”

The more you know about your fertility, the options available to you, what parts of fertility medicine are especially pertinent to your unique situation, the more you’ll understand what your options are. The more options you know about, the more informed your choices will be. And when you’re able to make choices based on understanding what they might mean for your outcomes, you’re in the driver’s seat.

That’s real empowerment. Not just automatically knowing the right answers, not having every single test result under the sun already before talking to a specialist, and not being the “perfect age” for growing your family. True empowerment is about recognizing your *capability* to get the answers you need for your unique fertility journey.

That’s why I created the IVF Class: so you can empower yourself with the most up-to-date information and move forward on your path with confidence and clarity.

We’re going to cover every aspect of IVF in this class, from learning about IVF protocols, to preparing for embryo transfer, to navigating unexpected challenges, and what to expect if you become pregnant after a transfer.

You’ll even be able to sign up for a live group session where you can ask me your questions personally, in real time.

The next IVF Class is on December 15th at 4pm PST, and you can sign up at the link above.

See you there!

Listen: draimee.org/how-to-improve-egg-sperm-and-embryo-qu…

Egg, sperm, and embryo quality are impacted by three very important things:

Age
Genetics
Environment

Your age comes into play in many ways. While there are charts and data about when egg numbers and egg viability decline, that varies in each individual - so it’s imperative that you get your hormone levels checked regularly. You can also freeze eggs and sperm while you’re young, which preserves the quality for when you’re ready to grow a family later.

Genetics also plays a big role in the quality and viability of any embryo that is created from an egg and sperm.

The role of the environment and how it impacts the quality of your embryos is becoming better understood. Phthalates and BPA can impact your fertility health. Creating a healthy lifestyle that avoids toxins will provide you with the best possible chance for a healthy pregnancy.

Find out all about how you can improve egg and sperm quality based on what's in your control.

Your Genetics are a key part of my TUSHY Method (Y = Your genetics) and I'm so honored to have Dena Goldberg (also known far and wide as @dena.dna) joining me today!

Some of the questions I know you have on your mind about genetics are:

Q: Nothing came back on my 23 & Me test. I'm good to go, right?
A: Not so fast. 23&Me relies on "SNP testing," and only looks at "very specific bookmarks on very random genes." You'll want a more thorough test for preconception screening.

Q: I don't have any history of disease in my family. Do I need to do genetic testing?
A: It's a good idea. There are syndromes such as Lynch Syndrome that are asymptomatic in 90% of people who are carriers. You'll want to know if you have those genetic markers before passing them on to your embryo and child.

Q: Can you make sure my embryo doesn't have autism?
A: Autism is actually a description of a constellation of symptoms. So it's not an underlying condition in and of itself. There are hundreds to thousands of genetic causes to autism. We can catch some of these cases, but not all. Autism is multifactorial, meaning that many of these cases are probably caused by a combination of genetics and environment or in other words, nature and nurture together.

Thank you for joining me, Dena!

When we’re setting out on a journey to achieve something big and meaningful, it can be exciting. There’s a feeling of “Oh my gosh, we’re really doing this!”

The other part of going after something big and meaningful that we sometimes don’t talk enough about is how scary and intimidating it can be. “We’re doing this!” can turn into “What am I doing?!” very, very quickly. The doubts start creeping in, and suddenly you can name every single way this could go wrong and every single reason this won’t work.

That’s ok - it happens to the best of us. And when you’re going through something with as many ups and downs as being a fertility patient, it can be really hard not to lose hope sometimes. Whenever you find yourself in this place, I encourage you to remember your WHY.

What’s the thing that drove you to start this journey in the first place? The thing inside you that made you realize how much this matters to you and how much you want it?

That’s your Why, and Whys are made of hope. Use it as your anchor.

When you have hope, you can hold on and stay the course no matter how many ups and downs or twists and turns there are on this path.

Unfortunately, setbacks are par for the course when it comes to fertility. Situations can change, treatments can work differently than you’d hoped or not at all, the stress of it can become overwhelming.

But through all of that, at the very heart of this journey, is the reason you started down this path.

Find your support systems, have faith in your medical teams, keep your hope and have patience. I always say that I believe in the fertility of every patient who walks through my doors, and that’s because I know that for them to be here, they already have such a strong "why," and such a fierce desire to bring more love into this world.

It doesn’t matter how many reasons you can come up with that this won’t work out. All you need is one good reason to believe that it *will*.

If you want help from someone who will remind you of your Why when things get hard and help you find your way forward, schedule a consultation at the link above.

I already believe in you!✨
