XDX Music
Hey there, we are XDX Music! A community-driven project created by artists for artists, seeing as we have always wanted to animate to music, but found licensing it legally to be nearly impossible without substantial financial compensation we have since partnered with a growing list of artists and record labels to make this dream a reality!
Our goal is to use any revenue we gain through licensed songs and labels to help commission other small artists, animators, and musicians to bring to life all the stories our fellow creators have envisioned.
In essence, our model aims to fill our channel with animations and artworks completely driven by community interaction. Along with this it also provides a space for me and my fellow peers to display our artwork and animations to a wider audience as we progress.

Uploads are Set to Resume in May on a schedule of one upload per week, which may transition to twice per week depending on consistency. I know I haven't been as active on here lately due to focusing on my thesis, but I have to say, what Russia has done today is appalling and the world is just sitting by and watching. By the time this battle draws to NATO it'll be too late, the damage would have been done. We need to stand with Ukraine, and let the world know we don't want more war.

It's officially 2022 and that means more music and more artworks are to come! We have some songs lined up that have still yet to be uploaded and some artists still on hold as well.
Our Channel may be somewhat dry as of late, but make no mistake we are still active, curating, and designing plans for the benefit of both our channel and our supporters. We hope you stick with us as our small little channel continues to grow and a develop with time. We wish you all bright and promising 2022!

So it took us a while to find artists for the backgrounds but we have some lined up. Our upload schedule should continue to gradually progress as we move forward with new artists and ideas. A bit of topic but, since it wasn't really all that popular this year, the anime To Your Enternity is pretty fire. If you like emotional journey-type storytelling this one is really good. The intro song "Pink Blood" also hits that sickly sweet zone if anyone looking for a new anime intro to dig out to = D

Wowza, the results from our last poll seem to be forming a perfect funnel! This was though somewhat expected as Melodic is one of our best performing genres on the channel and one we do indeed favor. Unfortunately, however, most Melodic artists are signed on pretty quick with big labels and thus hard to come by. A majority of the Melodic music uploaded to the channel as of present was thrown in due to our pure love for the genre - yet with that said, we'll keep a lookout for more upcoming Melodic artists. As for the other genres, we plan to try and create an alternating schedule. 1 Melodic 1 Random 1 Chill, with an occasional bonus upload. Thank you all for your input, it is greatly appreciated. Also, feel free to voice out in the comments anything on your mind. Cheers!

[Update: Delays] Hey guys we have a large volume of music rostered and ready to be uploaded! With that said, however, we are presently incurring delays in finding artists to be used as the backgrounds for these songs. We've encountered these delays before, which has made us postulate the possibility of not solely using anime-based artworks - however, we feel that may be slightly counter to the channel we wish to create. Rest Assured, however, we wish to be better than the 90% of channels engaging in art theft, and are not only actively looking for new artists but also creating new custom layouts and even several artworks in addition to animating approved ones. Thank you all for your patience as we continue down this winding path.
Note: we are still working on the ongoing copyright situation and managed to get in touch with the team that provided the sampling for "True" - so hopefully that situation will be resolved shortly.

So it appears if we're having another KidCat situation, though one more akin to what happened with FatRat a few years back. That being that someone who released a remix of the song in (March 2021) has begun claiming and monetizing the original non-copyrighted version from (March 2020). We have notified the official artists of the ongoing infringement and are currently re-appealing the claim - though people like this will often take advantage of Youtube's broken system to strike our channel and take the video offline. Thus it is with a heavy heart I will take the video unlisted to prevent the illegal party from earning revenue off of the video. In addition, this comes at a time when we were gaining views across the board on all of our videos and at the exact moment of the claim all momentum was cut from underneath us, lowering our weekly view count by 300 views.
