Yes, I may look into reconditioning one if I can find one at a decent price.

Hello everyone! I'm proud to announce that my book on HMS Belfast will be having a launch event aboard HMS Belfast herself in the afternoon of Saturday 31st of May, 1300-1700.
There will be a short presentation on the ships history, book signings, a fun quiz with extra prizes and a few other goodies you can only get by meeting Drach in person!
Due to venue limitations there are only a limited number of tickets (available at the link below).
Most of the details are on the ticket page, but just a few important details: -Please ensure you include your name, as this name goes on a guest list which the crew of Belfast will use to determine who gets through without paying the general admission fee. (When you get to the ship, simply tell them you are there for the book launch and they'll check your name off the list)
-Speaking of which, your ticket includes full access to the ship, which would typically cost significantly more!
-If you already have a copy of the book, feel free to bring it along and get it signed and/or hit me over the head with it. 😄
-If you don't have a copy of the book and would like one, there is an option to purchase an add-on that will allow you to pickup a signed copy at the event. (I need to know how many copies to acquire and bring with me!)
PSA: It's come to my attention recently that there a number of people out there pretending to be me for various reasons.
For reference, I am not and have never had any online presence or account on any forum, game or social media as 'Drachinifel' with the following exceptions: -Youtube (obviously) -Twitter/X -Bluesky -Tiktok -World of Tanks / World of Warships -War Thunder -Discord
And the majority of those are placeholder accounts to try and prevent exactly this kind of impersonation!
So if you see someone or have ever seen someone with the 'Drachinifel' user account or claiming to be me on anything else, or on those platforms with any variation of the name, it isn't me and at best is a fan, at worst is trying to actively sabotage my reputation. Please report any such accounts to the relevant mods/admins/authorities. Disregard anything they say or claim.
Note: Yes this includes the Facebook page that is supposedly representing my channel, I've been actively trying to take it down for some months without any substantial response from Meta.
Some of you have woken up to Amazon cancelling your orders for my book on HMS Belfast. I've spoken to USNI and essentially the problem is/was that the book was originally scheduled for release this month, but ultimately it was decided to release it in May.
However, Amazon's systems appear to have not registered the update to release date and so tried to ship books this month, then when someone noticed and told it to stop (probably by someone just manually setting the stock level to 0), the systems decided they couldn't send any and cancelled the pre-orders.
This issue is being resolved by USNI at the moment, so don't panic, at some point in the next few days the entry for the book should be updated with the May release date, at which point you can re-do your pre-order and all should be well.
I'm still working out the details of pre-signed copies with USNI at the moment.
On the plus side, the number of pre-orders meant even the unintended abortive lauch briefly placed the books as #1 bestseller for naval history books for the week. Let's see if we can recapture that for next month! :D
