Do you know what the golden pins on a SIM card actually do?
Each tiny pad has its own role, making the SIM card a “mini computer” that stores your network identity and securely communicates with your phone. Let’s break it down:

1️⃣ Vcc (Power Supply) – Provides the operating voltage for the SIM chip.
2️⃣ GND (Ground) – The reference point for the electrical circuit, completing the power connection.
3️⃣ I/O (Input/Output) – The main data line that allows the phone and the SIM to exchange information.
4️⃣ CLK (Clock) – Provides timing signals so that data can be read and written in synchronization.
5️⃣ RST (Reset) – Used to reset the SIM card and initialize communication.
6️⃣ Vpp (Programming Voltage) – Originally used for programming the SIM’s memory (now mostly unused in modern SIMs).
7️⃣ Optional Pads for USB – Extra pads for advanced functions like direct USB communication (rarely used in normal SIMs).
