CA Final IDT Students: Do NOT ignore the new RTP – Nov’26! 🚨

I recently solved the entire IDT RTP for the upcoming exams, and here’s a quick heads-up: something is definitely brewing in ICAI’s mind! 🔍

Here are the key takeaways you need to know before you attempt it:

1️⃣ The 14-Mark Question: A Must-Try!

The 14-mark question contains multiple important pointers from Circulars & Clarifications, along with the impact of Rule 42 & Rule 43.

It is definitely a must-attempt question. The way it has been framed requires careful reading, as even a small misinterpretation can lead to unnecessary loss of marks.

2️⃣ Amendments, Circulars & Clarifications

The new RTP places significant emphasis on Amendments, Circulars and Clarifications, testing them in a detailed and effective manner.

You will find multiple questions based on these areas, so make sure you don’t skip them during your preparation!

3️⃣ Focus on Smaller Topics

Topics like Tax Invoice, E-Way Bill, Advance Ruling, etc. have been tested from nook and corner.

Don’t just rely on Category A topics. This RTP goes deeper into Category B & C topics, indicating that ICAI may be giving increased importance to smaller and relatively less expected areas.

4️⃣ Interlinking is the Key!

The RTP includes some excellent MCQs that test your interlinking ability and in-depth conceptual understanding.

The E-Commerce Operator & TCS question, in particular, is something that will definitely test how well you can connect different provisions together.
