One year ago today I started this account and it now has archived almost every Outsiders Broadway and tour live from the past year!

Now we are nearly 400 followers strong and I’m so happy to have you all here enjoying these lives with me!

What a year of memories it has been! 💛

So the last few weeks all the lives have been ending really abruptly and I just realized it was on my end not theirs. (Anyone else ever have this problem??) google told me to delete Instagram and redownload it so that’s what I did. Hopefully it will be fixed moving forward!

In case anyone is interested in my tour notes from July 25th evening show in Toronto:

- Jaydon was on for Johnny, Gina was on for Cherry, Seth was on for Dally, Mekhi was on for Two-Bit, Guiseppe was on for Brill. Sad to miss seeing Bonale as Johnny and Jaydon not in his primary role but also a treat to see Jaydon as Johnny! I absolutely adored Gina as Cherry!

- Corbin was so chatty. He was yapping and making remarks to everyone when his mic was off and you could still HEAR him. He’s so loud 😂 he was also super touchy, slapping, and having special handshakes with all the other greasers

- Lots of middle fingers thrown. The Soda and Chet rivalry was especially strong with these actors

- When Corbin pulled in Two-Bit for ‘keeping the prettiest one on your arm’ he smacked his butt first

- Travis smacked Corbin’s butt with the bat when he said ‘make sure he gets home Soda, straight home’ and Corbin looked really offended

- When the greasers run in during runs in the family Nolan and Corbin were playing tug of war with Soda’s shirt saying ‘it’s mine, no it’s mine!’ over and over. I could see them planning the bit when they were still waiting around the jungle gym and the follow through was great 😂

- When Soda was walking over to the car after the tug of war with the shirt, someone (I think Steve) threw a piece of the chocolate cake over to Corbin and he (almost) caught it in his mouth

- Steve made a snort when Darry said you have to be careful with Dally and for some reason Corbin lost it, he was still laughing when he was getting the bed ready and had to take a second before he did his tasks

- Jaydon Johnny didn’t get the switchblade open the first time when Dally gave it to him and he had to try again

- The flask throw was missed and all the socs made a big deal about it

- Nolan might be my new favourite Ponyboy? He was so 14 year old boy

- Nolan and Jaydon Johnny were so funny when they were trying to act cool going over to sit with the girls. My favourite version of it I’ve seen and it got a lot of laughs

- The greasers did a little huddle during Friday at the drive in before they did their dancing bit, as if they were planning it.

- I liked that Gina giggled when she sang ‘I thought you’ve never read a book at all’

- I really loved Andrew’s version of Bob even if it was super different than KWP. He went more quiet instead of yelling (for the most part) and you could see all Bob’s different emotions on his face as things progressed. The delivery was perfect.

- Corbin nailed the whole scene about let’s call the feds. I LOVED his delivery. Super sarcastic. His reaction to Pony talking to Cherry was also SO funny. He clapped really fast and celebrated for way longer than I’ve ever seen before. And he and Pony did their cute little handshake again (they did it a few times throughout the show. Darry was SUPER annoyed by the reaction 😂

- I felt like the cast was giving it their all with this performance and it makes sense that Nolan said on his intermission live during the show they were all energetic because they’re coming up to a week off

- I loved loved loved the entirety of runs in the family (reprise) my favourite thing to do in that song is watch Soda mediating everything and Corbin NAILED his middle man role. I wish I could watch it over and over.

- The slap sound was synced perfectly with the slap. I’ve seen some wonky ones in the past so it was very satisfying 😂

- I liked that Nolan continued rubbing his jaw through Far Away From Tulsa

- Everyone was going live during intermission and I was STRESSED 😂

- I missed the usage of the real fire but I’m sure it would have been fine if I wasn’t used to the Broadway version

- Much less crying by these Curtis brothers in the final scene. I was waiting for the tears to flow. Everyone is just a lot more stressed in this cast and less tearfully emotional?? Travis Darry was so TIRED

- Corbin is Sodapop Curtis and I love him so much. Even at stage door he was bouncing everywhere and shouting with excitement about his new ‘Soda DX hat’ and asking if we liked it

- Not as much rubble was thrown around because the stage was much bigger than the Jacob’s and the rows were further back from the stage. All in all I prefer the Jacob’s smaller more intimate stage

- Also I found there were a lot of audio issues tonight. The mic’s were in and out a bit and of course there’s always the water issue after the rumble.

- I filmed bows and realized at the end I wasn’t recording at all 😑

- BUT Corbin, Jaydon, Nolan, Guiseppe, Johnathon, Mekhi, and Gina stage doored and I got photos with all of them 🥰

- Bonale passed going into the building with a mask on when stage door was wrapping up. Must be a bug going around the theatre. Glad they all have a week off!

- I want to see this show 500 more times on an endless loop
