The social media ban in the UK has been controversial. It's clearly been implemented by incompetent dystopian bureaucrats.
On the other hand, there is absolutely a case to be made to for ensuring that children do not become digital crack addicts.
And then there is the issue of Digital ID, which I seem to be in the minority on.

Honest question regarding digital ID.
People say that it will be the end of anonymity on the internet because it will require adults to prove who they are to use social media.
But it seems to me that every intelligence agency and tech corporation already has all of your information. Everyone who operates under anonymity right now is only able to hide their real id from the general public - not the government or tech companies.
So if digital ID were implemented, what would be lost as it relates to the privacy of people using anonymous accounts that isn't already absent?
