YASHURA is a Sri Lankan-born creator on a mission to help those who feel disconnected, lost, hopeless, or depressed find inspiration to hope. After emerging from years of depression, YASHURA found purpose in helping others rediscover hope, self-belief, and connection through creativity.
His style, Alternative Pop-Rock, blends cinematic orchestral textures with the groove and warmth of 80s Pop (Pop Rock), Rock, Reggae, Funk, and R&B. Coupled with deep, meaningful, and complex lyrics, think powerful strings over punchy drums, soulful, groovy basslines, and nostalgic synths, a sound that feels sad, meaningful, epic, and intimate.
Deeply inspired by Michael Jackson’s compassion, resilience, and commitment to making the world kinder, YASHURA carries forward that same spirit, using music as a force for healing and hope.

I don't know where you are, I don't even know where you are from, but for whoever sees this post and supported me in any way - Thank you. You are the reason why I can be happy about the difference I make. I'm all for impact, and to know that these songs actually reached some people and perhaps have an effect on ONE person, is enough.
I didn't even record a video for Spotify Wrapped cause I thought I wouldn't be on the Top 10
I started this journey in January 2025, and honestly, I wasn't expecting anything. I had planned to make 6 songs this year, and I couldn't even do that.
But this time, I have to remember that something is better than nothing, and I can be happy about the fact that I have released 4 songs in the first year and actually have people outside of my circle stream them.
I've learned a lot about music and life this year, and I can guarantee that I'll come stronger in 2026 - I have some cool plans and ideas. Can't wait to share them with the world!!!
