Hi there, thank you so much for looking at my channel, which features the music of Tom Grierson and eternal sea.
About six or seven years ago I was sitting with a group of friends in a pub in my hometown of Bellshill in Scotland when I uttered the words, “I’m going to put one hundred songs up on YouTube before the end of the year.” The guffaws of laughter which followed were well merited as, so far, I have uploaded precisely none. But, as of now, things are changing. A warning to purists, though, as both my own covers and those of eternal sea may differ greatly from the originals. They will always, however, be treated with the utmost respect.

eternal sea
Tom Grierson & June Meagher have created eternal sea, a duo who infuse ancient chants & mantras with the music of more contemporary artists they much admire. They offer gigs, retreats, sound baths and sound journeys at venues, events & festivals throughout the UK & Europe.

Hi folks, sorry it's been a while since I uploaded but here is a new video. Being a techno nightmare I have major difficulties uploading stuff and tried for over two hours today to find the 'notify subscribers of uploads' part with no success. So if you are one of the incredible 700 (I just can't believe that number) who have subscribed I am sorry that I just don't know how to inform you of new uploads.
I am going to try hard to do regular uploads in future.
Thank you so much for your support and as always please feel free to comment on and share any of my videos.
Thank you
Tom

In his recent comment on my version of 'Black Is The Colour' Bluesnote2010, was asking about the venue the video was filmed in and I said I would post a photo in the posts section of the channel - so here it is.
This is the beautiful music room in Fort Belan in Wales taken before an eternal sea gig June and I did there in December. The second photo is the only one we have of the actual gig itself. You can see June and I in it, plus our tabla/harmonium player Tom Shanti. Sadly, you can't see our fourth member, Sarah Jane Luck, on percussion.
I can honestly say it is one the most delightful spaces you could ever wish to play in. Tom

RALPH MCTELL TURNS 80
Hi there Tom here. I have never used the community part of the channel before, but what better a time to do so than on the day that my all-time hero Ralph McTell turns 80. People say, "Never meet your heroes," but this couldn't be further from the truth with regards to Ralph, who is the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. He has had an incredible effect on my life, and June and I would love to say a big happy birthday to him and urge you to listen to his music if you haven't previously done so. We would highly recommend his 'Not Til Tomorrow' and 'Easy' albums, both of which can be found on YouTube. Ralph has written so many classic songs such as 'From Clare To Here,' 'The Ferryman,' 'Jesus Wept,' 'Peppers and Tomatoes.' There are just too many to mention in this message, but I urge you to give at least these a listen and am sure that after doing so, you will want to hear more.
My own personal favourite is 'First And Last Man'. Here is the eternal sea version of it.
