The intended purpose of this KenjutsuWorld is to provide information and resources for those interested in the art of Kenjutsu, in all its forms. Here we use a very broad brush stroke to include many lineages and/or dojos that teach Japanese sword training. This would include (but is not limited to): Kenjutsu, Iaijutsu, Iaido, Kendo, Naginatajutsu & Bizento.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive dojo list and a central source for quality training weapons, videos, books and articles about Kenjutsu as well as interviews with leading instructors. We are constantly looking for quality content for this site, if you are a Kenjutsu instructor or know of one you would recommend to write an article or be interviewed, please feel free to visit us at KenjutsuWorld.com or Facebook.com/KenjutsuWorld or Instagram.com/KenjutsuWorld
Kenjutsu World
Over years of training, we develop a profound respect for the blade, but understanding the intense craftsmanship behind it brings an entirely new level of appreciation. I am very pleased to share Part I of The Sun's Shadow, a remarkable three-part docuseries that we at KenjutsuWorld backed during its early crowdfunding phase. Serving as an associate producer on a film that honors the ancient art of Japanese swordsmithing has been a true privilege. Episode 1, "Dragonfly," introduces the American artisans dedicated to keeping this traditional metallurgy alive. It is a brilliant watch, and it is now completely free on YouTube.
