Hi folks,

Anbernic is at it again, RG VITA and RG VITA Pro were just teased.

It is unclear what these handhelds will be packing in terms of chip and performance, but as PSVITA collector, I certainly do like the design.

That being said, the current state of Vita emulation on Android is not great, so even if these handhelds would have the power, the VITA experience might be lacklustre.

But one can always hope, and maybe, only maybe we get some great PSP emulation.

Fellow Thor owners, AYN is continuously improving the Thor firmware and has also provided information on the Thor delivery situations as well as on pricing. Unfortunately, they will not be able to keep the "old" early bird pricing due to the current market situation, but all in all the increase seems reasonable. That being said, this is going to be a tough year (and not just for handhelds), so we should take that as an opportunity to use (and improve) what we already have tech-wise.

Fixed an issue in the Bilibili app where sliding on the screen to adjust brightness would incorrectly adjust the brightness of both displays simultaneously.,
Made the smart fan speed a little bit more aggressive to address overheating issues in high-performance mode.,
In Smart Fan Mode, users can customize the fan speed curve.,
Fixed an issue where third-party Android launcher icons were not displayed on the lower screen (requires opening via the search bar).,
Fixed an issue where the maximum custom fan speed was limited to 70% in both the TCC (Thor Control Center) and Game Assistant.,
Fixed an issue where the color of icons and wallpaper on the upper screen became washed out after exiting HDR video playback or HDR streaming.,
Updated WIFI firmware to resolve issues where certain Wi-Fi networks could not be connected to, or connection would lead to system freeze/reboot.,
Updated audio EQ configurations to optimize the speaker's bass performance.,
Added OLED screen protection features, including dynamic anti-image retention and anti-burn-in protection.,
Supported 80% charge limit and 5V2A charge limit and 9V2A charge limit when battery SoH(State of Health) is less than 80.,

Shipping Update
Thor shipments will start on the 15th. We know many of you have been waiting for a long time, and we’ve seen a lot of interesting and passionate posts from the community. It truly motivates us to keep pushing forward and deliver the second batch asap.

Third Batch Pre-order & Price Update
Pre-orders for the third batch of Thor will open on January 20th. Due to the memory situation, we are unable to maintain the early bird pricing indefinitely. As a result, prices for the third batch will increase as follows:

Retro friends - after reading and watching various impressions on the anbernic RG DS, I decided to cancel my order for a variety of reasons:

- very evident input lag on DS emulation
- besides being able to run PS1 and below while maybe browsing FAQ websites etc, I do not see the point of this if it does not handle actual DS emulation well (we knew that it would not handle 3DS anyhow)

Wait for further reviews, but it is probably better to just wait for the next iteration, save for an AYN Thor or be happy with just one screen ;)

In my case, I decided to invest my limited resources in other handhelds and projects.
