5 IDIOTS TALES

I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Even today, it feels like yesterday.

There was a time when I was visiting the dialysis center three times a week, waiting for a donor, holding onto a tiny spark of hope in my eyes, no matter how difficult the situation was. Many may not be aware of that world, and honestly, I wouldn’t wish it even on my worst enemy.

Then one day, I received that call from the hospital, I had a donor.
The irony of that moment is painfully real: one soul had to leave this world for another to live. I had been waiting for that call for four long years, yet when it finally came, what I felt was not happiness. It was an unknown fear. A storm of emotions I couldn’t explain.

I cannot go forward without mentioning the immense care and support I received ‪@KauveryHospital‬ chennai and from the incredible doctors @Dr.R.Balasubramaniyam and @Dr.Balaji Kirushnan. I mention this because I know that, even today, people of all ages are going through the same struggle. I’ve met many doctors along this journey, and I truly believe sharing the right guidance can make someone else’s path a little easier.

Kidney-related diseases are increasing day by day, yet the sad truth is that most of the world is still unaware of how serious this is. Many take their health lightly, not realizing how lucky they truly are. When someone tells you to eat healthy, believe me, you are blessed. There are so many people who are restricted from eating even basic foods, who have to count every drop of water they drink.

The harshest reality is that money cannot buy everything. If it could, donor waiting lists wouldn’t be this long, and people wouldn’t have to wait years for a second chance at life.

Even after a year, the struggle continues. With heavy immunosuppression, I have to think five times before taking even a single bite of food. Despite maintaining strict hygiene, I still end up in the hospital for days, especially when I truly want to show up somewhere. Something as small as a nail bite can lead to an infection. My body has become extremely sensitive.

Yet, I don’t complain, because this body has given me another opportunity to live my life again.

I strongly believe we can all do something for ourselves, our families, and society.

First, take care of your health. It doesn’t just keep you happy; it protects the people who love you the most. Because when one person falls sick, it’s often the family that suffers the most.

Second, if possible, please consider signing up for organ donation. It costs nothing, but it can change someone’s entire life. There are countless people waiting in long queues, hoping for a miracle.

Organ donation changed my life.
And I make sure to keep that donor’s family in my daily prayers.

“First salon visit after my transplant 🌸 After 8 long months of quarantine, everything feels new - like a dream, a second chance. I know this journey has tested both my physical strength and mental resilience. But it always takes the darkest night to reach the first light of dawn ✨.”

“Have you ever felt mentally and physically tested after a major health challenge?”
“I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Share your story in the comments, I’d love to hear it 💛”

While scrolling through endless trending AI saree looks, I told my sister — “Why wear the same AI saree that’s been worn by millions? We’ll stick to ours!” 😉✨

Because nothing can beat the grace of a real saree, styled our way. 💃❤️

👉 Drop a comment: AI saree or original saree — which one do you prefer?
