A hacker with great knowledge of hacking may intercept your information and pick few things when you guys are connected to the same open wireless network.

It is time to start building businesses around YouTube than just depending on Google Ads money you earn through YouTube Partnership Program. Create eBooks that align with your niche, affiliates, print on demand products, one-on-one guide, and other avenues you can earn from in a legit way. It may take months or a year to earn through these means. Once you build trust over the years, the money will come from them.

Noise in video recordings is distraction and a sign of unprofessionalism in content creation. As a creator, ensure that you filter noise out of your videos before posting them on your channel. Do not think that the noise does not matter. It matters a lot. If you can get a Microphone with noise cancellation feature, that is fine. But if you cannot, always do your content creation in a calm environment. I do not use Microphone for my videos but I ensure that the environment is calm before I hit the record button.

Expertise is not achieved in one day or in a year. You teach, learn, and keep practicing what you learned while you teach others. Many YouTube creators who have been on this platform for over five years have not gotten one paid brand sponsorship because they do not want to focus on one niche and become expert on what they teach or do over the years. Brands that look for creators to pay to make a video for them to promote their products take good look at what you have been teaching over the years or months. If that does not align with the products they want to push for people to know about, that deal will not scale through.

The breaking news of YouTube increasing the eligibility requirement for their partnership program to 8,000 watch time hours from February 1, 2027, or 20 million short views in 90 days came as a shock to me. On a second thought, I concluded that it may take longer time to achieve but doable as well (especially the 8,000 hours in one year). If you can, start building around your area of expertise with consistency. It may take up to three to fours years to achieve, but it may worth it at the end.

As a content creator on YouTube, you do not need to take some video titles that come to your mind for granted. Do not feel that everyone knows that thing you want to talk about because they are simple in your mind. Do you know that there are many YouTube creators that do not know how to access YouTube studio? It is simple in your eyes but there are core beginners that do not know about it. Imagine a video as simple as "How to save Phone Number on Android Phone" giving me much money than my more complex videos. You thought everyone knows that right?

It is true that YouTube does not pay much on shorts, but there are areas where they can be life savers, and help you make more money in return. One of those areas is when brands want to do business with you. They check how much views your channel get on monthly basis. Because YouTube shorts get more views than long form videos, such feature can help you land some paid brand deals. So, think about this and do not write off YouTube shorts totally.
