## Between You and Success: 60 Seconds
Most people think the first impression is about convincing the other person.
I don't.
Every important meeting involves two people:
**The Trust Seeker** and **the Trust Giver.**
Whether you're interviewing for a job, pitching a client, presenting to executives or negotiating a deal, one person is asking for trust while the other decides whether to grant it.
Here's what most people miss.
The greatest benefit of a strong first impression isn't that it impresses the Trust Giver.
It's that it transforms the Trust Seeker.
A confident opening creates momentum. You think more clearly. You articulate your ideas more effectively. You feel in control. Positive feedback reinforces your confidence, and confidence reinforces your performance.
The opposite is also true.
A hesitant start can trigger anxiety, self-doubt and overthinking, making every minute that follows more difficult than it needed to be.
As go the first 60 seconds, so goes the rest of the encounter.
That's why I believe your voice isn't just a communication tool.
It's your most powerful professional weapon.
Watch the 60-second video below and let me know:
**What's one meeting, interview or presentation where the first minute changed everything?**

Are you accidentally saying “estop” instead of stop? Or maybe “espanish” instead of Spanish? If so, don’t worry — you’re not alone.
This pronunciation issue is especially common among Spanish speakers and learners whose first languages don’t allow words to begin with /s/ + consonant clusters, like st, sp, or sk. But the good news is: this is 100% fixable — and we’ll show you exactly how.

Want to test your listening skills? Can you hear the difference between /r/ and /l/ (road vs load, rice vs lice etc.)? How about you complete the challenge in the video? By the way, the phone number that you'll guess is fictional, so don't you go and start chasing up that gorgeous girl in the video! lol
