As I promised, discord server: discord.gg/gHXnpwSb I'd love to see you join! It's pretty rough around the edges for now, but I'll eventually get it right.
Next video is taking longer than expected. Had to do a lot of research for some things and also to attend some personal matters, but over this period I got quite a few people asking me if everything is alright and letting me know that they loved the videos. I am so, so grateful! 🥹 Huge thanks for sticking with me!
Compute Shaders might be intimidating, but I think I'm getting the hang of it! The way I managed to understand things was by trying the official documentation guide: docs.godotengine.org/en/latest/tutorials/shaders/c…
Afterwards I watched this amazing video from ‪@devpoodle‬ to see if I had missed anything. I am going to try writing a few compute shaders next and update you on the progress.
I recently had some fun taking texture photos in both a rural and urban environment. I'm definitely no professional, but the quality of the images is pretty good. I created two texture packs that you can use for FREE for anything you'd like. I hope these help!
OOOH! I just remembered! Last year I made a Pumpkin Carving game for Halloween. It's kind of rough around the edges, but if you haven't carved a pumpkin yet, you could give it a try!

The hardest part when making a course is ordering things.
Firstly, there are technical dependencies. For example, SDFs can be visualized by using a fract() function. Secondly, there are "story" dependencies. It would be much more interesting to showcase fract() patterns when you have cool SDF shapes to look at.
I didn't believe it could be possible, but while editing my own shader video, I got mind blown by how crazy some of the solutions to the next exercises were.

I will make a video on how to achieve this effect, but I was just playing around and I'm in awe with the results. Here's a sneak peek:

I was playing around with pixelation and posterization. Would anyone be curious to see a video about shader effects like these?
