From living in a minivan to touring the country in a Subaru, Michael Blakey is a Midwestern ball of energy filled with optimism, hope, and a nice dash of reality that keeps him grounded. In 2012, he left his home in Missouri on a quest to find himself, and to this day, the search continues. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and his fans know it. His vulnerability on and off stage is what attracts people to him and his music.

After every song, he peels back a new layer of how he views himself and his place in the world. His music is a genre-bending roller coaster. One moment, he's finger-picking his way to the softest part of your heart, and the next he's jumping off a drum riser or joining a circle pit in the crowd.
