Hawa Amanda Hummingbird

Welcome, I’m Hawa Amanda.

This is a space where I share reflections on life, love, faith, healing, nature and remembering who we truly are.

From Home House Homestead in Norfolk, England, you’ll find videos of gardening, growing food, cooking, music, women’s gatherings, retreats and the simple beauty of living in closer relationship with the earth, one another and the Divine.

After walking through addiction, heartbreak, divorce, motherhood and profound transformation, I’ve come to believe that healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about remembering who we’ve always been.

My hope is that these videos inspire you to slow down, reconnect with what matters, and come home to yourself.

Remembering who we are through nature, community and the Divine.

Welcome home. 🌿🤍

For those that may feel invisible.

For those that may feel no one sees them.

For those that may feel unimportant.

For those that may feel no one cares.

For those that may hide to avoid the hurt.

For those that may have dimmed their light because it’s easier than shining and not being seen. Invisible. Let down. Time and time again.

I see you. I feel you. I understand.
My heart is with you.

This may be an inner child wound.
A story that keeps running on repeat.

Close your eyes. Breathe gently into your heart.
Settle your awareness into your heart.
Call on and connect with little you.
Bring them into your arms.
Hold them. Tell them you see them.
They are loved.
They are important to God, to you.
Allah, the Divine sees them. Has always been with them, but they didn’t know.
Ask the Divine to bring light around you both and come home to your heart.

Together with Allah, God, you can hold them lovingly, with care and gentleness bringing them home to your heart.

Every time you feel this old wound, hear these old voices, remember who is feeling it, hearing it.

It is little you.

Calling to be seen. Acknowledged. Held. Loved. Brought back to wholeness.

The wholeness was/is always there but we need to experience the illusion of separation in order to experience what wholeness really is.

Bring little you home.
Let your light shine and the jewel in your heart be gently unveiled.

It’s time.

We all have a jewel waiting to be unveiled.

Allah is with you.
The Divine is with you.
Always.
That is important to know.
To experience.
You are loved.
You are important.
You have an important place in the world.
Everyone does.
Unique to you.

Are you ready to bring your inner child home and let your light shine brightly?

The world needs your light.

Diary of a Sufi Seeker....

Lost in the wilderness.

Confused.

Uncertainty.

Not knowing anything. Breaking apart. Falling apart.

Surrendering into the falling apart.

Praying to the Divine to help me, guide me, let me know the next step if there is one.

As I pray, a calmness and peace has settled in my heart.

A wash of tiredness sweeps gently through my eyes. An old tiredness of the past, carrying the past and wanting to let it go.

Hand it over to Allah.

There's always more. The journey is the path and the path is never ending.
There is always more to surrender.
There is always deeper to dive.
There is always more breaking to break open.
There is always more unknowing to know
There is always more uncertainty to be certain of.

What does it mean to surrender to all of this?

Deep, still, silent presence.

Being.

Being with the breaking.

Experiencing.

Feeling.

Without distraction. Without commentary. Let the depth draw you in and reveal itself.

The wisdom of presence. The wisdom of depth.

In the unknowing comes a knowing.
A knowing beyond words or actions.
A knowing that brings peace and calm and stillness.

In the uncertainty comes a certainty.
A certainty that the only thing certain is everything is Allah.
Everything is from God, to God, with God, from God.
And surrendering is the presence into the inner world within us, in its discomfort and pain.
A portal, that by being still in it, truly present with it, we are carried through the veil to the next unveiling of light.

Allah! Allah! Allah!

This place of peace and calm enveloped by love and gratitude is on the other side if we are courageous to sink into the loneliness of the breaking, the falling apart.

The expansion after the contraction.

The ease after the difficulty.

Time and time again.

Moment by moment, we expand, we contract.

Inhale and exhale.

Humans. Animals. Nature. Sunrise, sunset. Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn. Seed to seedling to plant to tree. Birth to death. Dying before you die. Over and over again. Rebirth over and over again.

The simplicity and the complexity of this wisdom.

A remembering flitting between forgetfulness.

Love at the centre.

Merciful love. Compassionate love. Peaceful love. Generous love. Truthful love. Tender love. Subtle love.
Allah's love.
Love. Love. Love. Love.
Ya Wadud, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, Ya Salaam, Ya Karim, Ya Haqq, Ya Halim, Ya Latif.
Allahu Allahu Allah!

The extraordinary power of conscious writing, conscious listening, conscious solitude. The beauty and waves of emotion and experiencing that washes through and caresses my heart into a deep softening, tenderizing and opening into beauty within...beyond words. But then, these words appear and want to be written, and shared, and heard and read. The guidance revealing itself. The path opening up again after the contraction.
Thank you Allah. Ash Shakur. Gratitude. Ash Shakur. Ash Shakur. Ash Shakur.

Do you notice the itch of impatience that gets under your skin?

The longing for things to hurry up and get to you.

The planning that happens in your head when you want something or someone that has not arrived yet.

I have even noticed it sometimes when I write my morning pages in my journal. Writing as if I need to rush and get it done cause there’s not enough time.

Impatience is the not enoughness that drives the vehicle.

In a world that runs on speed more and more, everything is getting faster….slowing down and being still no and silent is a radical act.

Sometimes doing nothing is a powerful and necessary action.

When you don’t know, don’t do anything.

When you know, you’ll know to move. You’ll just know.

Patience is surrendering to divine timing not your own.

Patience is a quality within you of contentment and acceptance.

We can still move and act but it doesn’t feel rushed, it doesn’t feel stressful, it flows and a level of trust settles in.

Patience really is a virtue and not everything needs to be manifested immediately.

In my experience, I have chased, and rushed and manipulated and controlled things to bring about certain outcomes that I wanted…in a graspy kind of way.

They never stuck because I wasn’t ready for them.

But when I learnt to let go of that and heal the root of why I was moving through the world in that way…I began to learn about true patience.

That things come to me in divine timing and when they do I am ready for them. I’m ready to hold them with my whole being.

The periods of time before things arrive is almost like a preparation.

A ‘proving’ like when you make sourdough bread. You have to wait patiently for the starter to multiply and the dough to rise. The proving process. Waiting for that sweet spot to put it in the oven that allows the bread to rise some more in the heat of the oven and have that beautiful rounded top. Put it in too soon and under proved, it won’t be rounded and spongy. Put it in too late and it will over prove and have a flat top.

Waiting for the sweet spot in life takes patience, wisdom and an alignment to your divine internal compass.

Impatience may come from some deep rooted wounds that drive you to move hurried and graspily through life from that place.

It comes from a lack of trust.

It can bring about more stress, overwhelm and dissatisfaction.

It can bring about ingratitude.

Learning to listen deep within to your heart voice and move when you are moved to move from this place, act when you are moved to act from this place, and be still when you are called to be stlll is deep divine wisdom and patience graced upon you.

An act of reverence.

An act of gratitude and contentment.

Where and how does impatience show up for you?

Can you feel that hurried graspy undercurrent of impatience?

Ild love to know your experiences.
Please do comment below.

Peace love and blessings

Surrender is a place in your heart and soul that bows to your creator in acceptance that whatever you’re presented with is for you in each moment of life.

In 2018, whilst in Bali assisting at a Forrest Yoga Teacher Training, I was given a book to read by a dear friend called ‘the Surrender Experiment’ by Michael Singer. I was a year into the end of my 17 year relationship and marriage.

This book changed the way I looked at life.
Thus began my own surrender experiment which now I understand to be a life long journey.

I wrote a medicine song which is still sung I believe in the forrest yoga community in ceremony.

I surrender to the flow of life x4
Letting go of what you like
Letting go of what you don’t life
Receiving, Allowing, opportunities and possibilities

My surrender experiment has totally transformed myself and my life.

Surrendering to the flow of life doesn’t mean you don’t experience struggles or pain, but it means that you can look beyond the struggle and pain and ask God ‘what are you teaching me here?’

Here are a few of the things I learnt about surrender in 6 years.
Surrender is to do with your relationship with Allah, God, Source, The Divine.

Surrender is trusting that God has a better plan for you than your own (or your egos plan)

Surrender is accepting what is.

Surrender is letting go of needing to know.

Surrender is letting go of control, self -management, and manipulation and calling on God.

Surrender is letting go of the fight

Surrender is listening deep within and asking for guidance and direction.

Surrender is admitting to your human traits that you hide or don’t look at or like, like anger, jealousy, envy, resentment, arrogance, pride.

Surrender is asking for forgiveness.

Surrender is forgiving others and yourself.

Surrender is letting go of graspy, needy, insatiable desires, attachments and addictions and asking God for help.

Surrender begins with intention and commitment, takes awareness and acceptance of ones own patterns and behaviours in life, and then action to heal, clear and respond to life in a different way.

Surrender is letting go and walking away from relationships that you know are no longer right and that you are holding on to for dear life for fear of being alone.

Surrender is being alone with God in the fear of being alone.

Surrender is falling to your knees in despair and calling on God, cause you don’t know what to do anymore.

Surrender is putting your head on the ground and allowing the pain of heart break crack you open and let the light shine through.

Surrender is allowing yourself to receive the light of mercy and compassion.

Surrender is accepting that every place you are in in life has a purpose for you.

Surrender is looking inwards at yourself and not outwards at others.

Surrender is taking self responsibility and accountability.

Surrender is letting go of a rising business, a house, and life in the city because of a calling in your heart that won’t silence calling you to seek a new way of living and being.

Surrender is trusting that when you take a step or leap of faith, you will be caught. Even if that catching is a breaking you down and cracking you open.

Surrender is Gods way of calling us closer to Him.

There is no end to surrendering…until the end and final surrender…

This morning, as I’m writing my morning pages, I hear so clearly, a voice speaking to me from my heart….not my head…my heart.

This is what I heard and was guided to share it with you.

Maybe you needed to hear this too today. 💖

******

Just let things unfold organically.

You have enough.

You are enough.

You are the whole universe and stars. Feel that in your heart.

The vast depth of black velvety void, sparkling stars and illuminating planets, all perfectly balanced in its orchestration.

A symphony of perfection.
Inside of you.

All will be well, will be well, will be well.
Breathe my beloved, I am with you.

Bizmillah Ir Rahman Ir Rahim 🤲🏽

There is a grid of divine light that connects from each of our hearts to every heart, every thing in this world.

Whatever we are holding in our hearts impacts every heart, everything in this world.

Every thought, every word, every action…

If you are holding anger somewhere hidden within you…it will be manifested somewhere, somehow in your body, in the world.

If you are holding fear somewhere hidden within you…it will be manifested somewhere, somehow in your body, in the world

And so on…oppression, trauma, arrogance, self righteousness, blame, shame, judgement…

If you choose to explore that which is hidden, surpressed, repressed….heal the root woundings, layer by layer, and beautify it with the light of God…beautify it with the light of Love, compassion, mercy, truth, wisdom, humility, peace….that is the light that will radiate from within you to every heart, every soul, every thing on this earth and universe.

This is Sufi Spiritual Healing… healing the root and beautifying and filling that space with the divine qualities of Allah, the One God, One Source, One creator.

This is how we heal ourselves and the world that we see manifested in physical form.

We are one heart, one soul, one love, one light through this grid of light.

The inner work and turning to God for healing is more powerful than you or I will ever be able to comprehend but, I believe, is essential for love and life on this earth.

Get in touch if you are ready to be held in the most beautiful loving light of the divine and explore your inner world.

Choose to work with me or I can direct you to the Sufi Master Healers depending on what you are holding.

One Love
One Heart
One Soul

Bizmillah Ir Rahman Ir Rahim

I’ve been reflecting deeply in my heart about what it means to look through the eyes of unity and not from separation. To zoom out from the separation of what we see and experience and be open to witnessing the wholeness of life.

Which parts of the whole are we each holding on to which separates us from the whole divine Truth. These parts we sometimes hold onto so tightly to it blinds us from a Truth that is there
for us to witness if only we soften our grip and zoom out.

Looking through the eyes of unity is aspiring to see through the eyes of Allah, God, the Divine Source of creation.

Looking through the eyes of unity is seeing the whole picture…not just one part.

Looking through the eyes of unity is zooming out and understanding that we may not be able to perceive or understand the whole but knowing that where there is bad, there is good. Where there is injustice, there is justice. There there is fear, there is love. That there is a wholeness to all of what we are witnessing in the world.

Looking through the eyes of unity allows us to let go of our separateness and know we are one, with the One, and everything is from the One and the Truth is maybe not what our minds, caught in separation can see or understand.

Looking through the eyes of unity humbles us to soften and let go of our arrogance in believing “I” am right, you are wrong, to be open and surrender needing to know.

Looking through the eyes of unity opens the heart to the beauty & majesty of creation & the creator & the complex wholeness of the grid of light and that we experience but a tiny part but open ourselves to the knowing in our hearts of the whole.

Seeing through the eyes of unity is to feel compassion & empathy for the pain & suffering that we witness as our own but also to feel gratitude & love for the joy & beauty all at the same time, in the same moment. To not dismiss one part of the experiencing & to not attach to it either. To witness it all from a place of deep love in our hearts. To surrender in trust and faith to Gods plan.

A commitment from my humbled heart to practice peace, love, compassion and mercy for all.
