Zaleski Designs RC

So I wanted to do a post explaining why I haven’t had a chance to upload anything in a while, it’s been a wild month, and I’m finally back to a point where I can get back to posting! I have been working on projects this whole time, recording as I can, so I have a TON to post, just a matter of getting some edits done😅

I truly appreciate everyone subscribed to the channel new and old, Thank you all for being patient, I can't wait to get back to uploading!

From my personal Facebook, it's a bit long but it shows how quick things can change..

If you have pain DON’T wait..

The words of my dad after almost dying in the hospital..
Thank you to everyone who helped, reached out, or supported in whatever ways they could. To anyone that has reached out and hasn’t heard back or wasn’t aware of anything going on, this has by far been the hardest few weeks of my life, but I want to share what all happened.
It’s taken a few days of being home to really grasp or process everything that has happened in the last three weeks, things can change so quickly.
Three weeks ago my parents were here in VA visiting for our 1 year olds birthday celebration, my dad was in visible pain, worse than normal (he thought it was just his back or a pulled muscle) but nothing alarming, at least we thought..
We had the celebration on 6/8 and it was a great time. 6/9 they left to head back to upstate NY.
6/18 right before 5pm I get a call from my dad (the timing of the call was alarming in itself not being a typical time he would or ever has called).
He said they were admitting him to have his appendix removed, nothing too serious. I got the call that he went into surgery at 10pm that evening.
Missy and I made the decision that it would be best for everyone if I went up there to stay for a few days and help my parents until he recovers. So I left the next morning at 7:30. About half way there I got an update from my sister Hilary, but it was far from what I was expecting..
Come to find out, his appendix had actually burst at some point, which in its own can be very serious, but there was also a mass attached to the appendix, colon and part of his bowel.
I was told he was in rough shape but honestly that wasn’t but the start of a rough few days of touch and go.
The morning after surgery 6/19 he was seeming okay, but started to go downhill again pretty quickly.
When we went to see him on day two 6/20, they were confused because his vitals were all showing fine and every test they ran showed there was no internal bleeding or infection.. we went back home that day baffled at what could be going on.
By day three 6/21 when my mom and I went to see him around 2pm he was barely conscious, mid blood transfusion (that we were not aware about happening), sweating like crazy (even though it had to have been close to 60 degrees in the room), and his jaw was quivering. I ended up making a comment to the head nurse that he looked like he was getting worse and asked if they had been giving him all of his meds. At this point, they started asking what meds he was even on..(this was at 52 hours of him being admitted, they finally asked about medications).

Come to find out they hadn’t been giving him ANY of his meds.. (17 medications.. with a handful that can potentially kill you if you just suddenly come off of them ..) he could barely function by the time he got there, but STILL his meds are all in the hospital’s system (which was confirmed later on..)
Not five hours later, he was miraculously on the upswing. His medicine and a second blood transfusion made a HUGE difference.
I don’t have any pictures from the two days leading up to him leaving but when my nephew and I saw him stand up for the first time out of the hospital bed it was the straightest we’ve seen him stand up in probably a decade. We have to wonder how long that mass was actually causing issues.
Day five 6/23 he WALKED out of the hospital on his own two feet and was home at 2pm! Shocked and relieved doesn’t even come close to explaining how it felt to bring him home.

But of course he did what any reasonable man would do, he had to start his car before going to rest upstairs.😂

He still has a decently long road of recovery in front of him after being stitched back together internally and stapled back shut.
There’s no way for me to explain how the week truly went without chalking it up to being an actual miracle… He wasn’t going to go to the hospital, but my mom had a test that morning so he figured why not while there. They told him he had less than three days before it would’ve killed him the way he was. He has made the decision to cut out most of those medicines, from 17 down to 4!

Listen to your body, express your pains, even if you just think it’s “old” pains getting worse, it might safe your life..
