Hey there! I’m Paige — an educator, mentor, and traveler.

What I’ve learned across 40+ countries is this: the world is the best teacher. And kids are naturally curious explorers. When we bring global stories into their learning, school suddenly feels bigger, more alive, more connected.

That’s why I started Expat Education — to help parents and teachers open those doors for K–8 kids.
On YouTube, you’ll find:
✈️ Travel shorts — real glimpses of the world beyond the classroom
🌏 Talks & trainings — about making education more global, modern, and human

On our website, you’ll find:
💡 Global Conversation Video courses — digital mentors that spark curiosity & critical thinking
📚 Resources & coaching

My goal? To raise a generation that can explore perspectives, think critically, and carry their own sense of belonging — no matter where life takes them.

If that feels like the kind of journey you want to be part of, subscribe and share.

Together, let’s bring the world into conversation.

What we can infer from this podcast episode: How to Have a Conversation 101

Taking the time to be transparent about what has been said, the intention, and the deeper meaning is incredibly important for people to see. Topics ranging from sarcasm to feedback to idea generation to personality to leadership, and so much more.

One line that stuck with me was, "We will fail if... we don't disagree out of care and respect."

A big takeaway from this episode? Lead with curiosity.

I also really like that they give a bunch of resources in the show notes for other videos and resources. Learning comes with... learning more :)

Brené Brown and Adam Grant started a podcast together, and it is a beautiful combination of agreement, disagreement, and emphasis on nuance.

One topic that they brought up is lived experience vs. research. As a traveler, lived experience makes the world more meaningful, memorable, and multidimensional to me. However, numbers and large data help us understand the world on a broader spectrum.

When watching this part of the conversation, I thought, I wonder if being a female means there is more intuitive action than in men, and if there's research to show that.

In another part of the episode, they talked about complex simplicity. Somewhere along the way, I have heard the term "simplexity," which I think is saying the same thing with different word order. We live in a very complex world, so how can we understand it without overlooking the details too much? Isn't there a quote about truly understanding a topic means you can explain it to a six-year-old?!

Insert: A K-8 perspective to approach global education, bridging curriculum (AKA learning progression, growth framework, developmental pathway...) to real-world experience, mentorship, and connection via conversation. An amazing conversation between‪@jayshetty‬ & ‪@jeffersonfisher‬ where they dive deeper into the importance of communication skills.

JS: “I feel communication is one of these underrated skills that we all use all the time. We all need it in every part of our lives, and yet no one taught us how to do it at school. Or anywhere.”

JS: “What has communication unlocked for you, in a way that nothing else could?”
JF: “It’s unlocked a life of peace.”

Topics:
- Recognizing tolerance for difficult conversations
- Dealing with people who always need to be right or who interrupt
- The #1 communication mistake we make
- Changing somebody's mind
- Bringing intention into conflict
- Advocating for yourself
- Emotional resilience
- Boundaries
- And more!

Highly recommend the episode ❤️

"How can knowing ____ help me improve my life?"

"When you ______, how did it change your perspective on life?"

These questions are from Steven Bartlett on the ‪@TheDiaryOfACEO‬ Podcast with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. Steven is always modeling how to magnify his guests' expertise, passions, and perspectives. I highly recommend his podcast.

Quotes from Dr. Taylor:
"I feel such awe for life. Life is the miracle construction of the universe. The power of four-brain living. We all have a life story. It's the present moment connection. It's the power to choose who and how we want to be in the world when we understand what our choices are."

Quote from Steven Bartlett:
"You have a remarkable attitude. There’s a real pureness to you that I wonder if many of us might have lost along the way somehow. Thank you so much for being who you are. And your journey is unbelievable incredible. Unbelievably inspiring."

Oooh, how the little things matter. Paying attention, being intentional, and showing curiosity will get you very far in life.

“Think about the small things in your life… I have those moments in my life where somebody said one thing to me, sometimes off-handed, they don’t even remember it, and it changed the course of my life.” -- Oz Pearlman

“You make people curious and open-minded. And there’s so much that comes from that. People just being a bit more curious. And that’s the awe people get. The magic they get. I think it makes people’s minds expansive. And if people have expansive minds, then that might just be the catalyst for all types of progress.” -- Steven Bartlett

Do you think about the small things in your everyday life? What do you pay attention to the most? When are you the most mindful? What are you curious about?
Have a conversation about it.

Expat Education

This episode is such a great example of effort, passion, and potential. And as always, insane video quality and storytelling.

The platform of Expat Education emphasizes mentorship and scope from a local to global scope via storytelling, conversations, international adventure, and educational support. Learning from mentors is a quiet shortcut to clarity.

In this episode, Steven shows what he has learned and who he learned it from. He also lives and breathes mentorship on a daily basis through his podcast, speeches, social media posts, and other interactions.

Steven is a DOer and a change maker. He’s creative, inspirational, and inclusive. Not many people share their insights to lift people up in such a massive capacity.

A mentor is someone who shares experiences and makes you think. Ready for this question?!

“What are your 3-4 priorities over the next 6 months to make this a billion dollar company?”
(Steven’s question for who he’s looking to invest in)
• Innovation
• Distribution
• Unit Economics
• Brand Marketing

When do you maintain your calm throughout the chaos?
