Into the Fog with Peter Laws
Q&A PRIZE DRAW UPDATE - ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS!
Steph here - and I’ve been helping Peter to keep track of all your entries for the prize draw to win a free ticket to our Live Q&A event. Thank-you so much to all of you for taking part!
Your reasons for watching were genuinely lovely to read: a real mix of heartfelt and encouraging messages, thoughtful reflections, and so much humour and warmth too. What came through was how much you all value the calm, serious way dark stories are told here - the care taken with people’s experiences, your trust in Peter as a narrator, and how much you value having a thoughtful, respectful space to sit with spooky things without hype, sensationalism, or judgement. It really means a lot to know that’s why you’re all here!
25 of you commented and left your contact details, so to keep things completely fair, I’ve run the draw in Google Sheets using a random number generator. Everyone who entered was given a random number, and the five usernames with the lowest numbers were selected - simple, equal odds for everyone, and no duplicates.
The lucky winners will all be sent an email with the link to join - it will come from info@peterlaws.co.uk - do check your spam folders if you don’t see it. If you have any problems or queries, please email with the subject line FOG Q&A PRIZE and we’ll help out.
Congratulations to our five winners - and thank-you again to everyone who joined in.
We’re looking forward to seeing some of you in the chat on Sunday!

Into the Fog with Peter Laws
You have until midnight tonight to enter for a chance to win a free place at my Patreon Live Q&A on Sunday, but that's not all that's happening...
Check out the 'Into the Fog Weekender'!
Got something special for you this weekend...
Not just one new episode but TWO.
Both will be set as Premieres, and I'll be in the LIVE CHAT for each one.
Based on corroborated testimony, both cases are genuinely chilling. They are being told for the first time...
Sat, Jan 10th, 4:45pm GMT
IT FOLLOWED (The Haunting Never Left Him)
Most hauntings are tied to a location, but for one man in the UK, the phenomenon clung to HIM. In this true paranormal documentary, we investigate a rare case of lifelong paranormal attachment. It followed the witness for decades, no matter where he moved. The investigation uncovered a connection the witness had never known existed: a revelation that genuinely startled him (and me), and reframed the haunting in a way neither of us expected.
(44mins)
Sun, Jan 11th, 4:45pm GMT
CORNERED (Aggressive Haunting in a Tiny Apartment)
What happens when you're trapped in a tiny apartment with a presence that wants you out? In this witness-collaborated case file, we examine an aggressive haunting that took place entirely within the claustrophobic confines of a small flat. Unlike subtle residual activity, this poltergeist-like phenomenon turned hostile, leaving the witness cornered with seemingly no escape.
(56mins)
Both episodes feature the same witness, but his story is so compelling and so richly detailed that it demanded two episodes. Especially after gathering testimony from his family and friends, who corroborate what happened. Each episode stands alone, but together, they reveal a truly haunted life.

Into the Fog with Peter Laws
UPDATE: ALL PARTS HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THIS NOW. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO REACHED OUT!
>>>>>>Casting Call!<<<<<
Would you like to volunteer your voice for an upcoming episode?
I’m looking for a few UK-accented MALES and ONE FEMALE to record short voice clips as soon as possible. Phone recordings are fine, as long as they’re made in a quiet space with minimal background noise.
This is an unpaid, volunteer role, and the quotes are short, but everyone who has done it before says they really enjoy being part of an episode, and it doesn’t take much time. You’ll be credited in the description. You’ll also be asked to complete a simple online permission form, so I have clear consent to use the audio.
All voices should be English, ideally Warwickshire / Midlands / rural countryside. Not broad Birmingham.
However, I also have four roles that are more traditionally “posh” / BBC / London English.
I prefer to get native accents, rather than people doing impressions. But if I struggle to find any native ones, I may consider people from elswhere in the UK.
If you’re interested, email me at info@peterlaws.co.uk
Once I’ve filled the roles, I’ll update this post.
Thank you!
Peter

YOUR COMMENTS ON THE HAUNTING WAS OVER... UNTIL SHE MOVED IN
Hiya folks,
A very Happy New Year to you all! It’s Steph here, I help Peter with the channel and write these regular reviews of your comments - we paused them over the festive break, but it’s really good to be back - I’ve missed you! :)
This week, I’ve been reading through over 550 of your comments on our latest video, the story of the haunting that Adam thought was part of his past until it came back when a new presence entered his home. If you’ve not seen it, do take a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbJBw...
It was great to see how much you enjoyed this one while also finding it genuinely unsettling.
Here are the main themes you talked about:
- Your thoughts for Adam and Jane
So many of you responded to Adam’s story with real warmth, sympathy, and care, thanking him not only for trusting us with his story, but for taking part in the comments too. His willingness to answer questions, clarify details, and be honest about what he could and couldn’t explain was very much appreciated. Adam, thank-you again for your patience and generosity in sharing both your story and your time!
Lots of you also commented with concern and sympathy for Jane, especially the idea that she had been living with the same figure or presence for a long time. Rather than focusing on isolated moments, you spoke about the cumulative weight of that experience - the exhaustion of ongoing unease, and what it’s like to live with something that never quite resolves. Several of you also asked after her wellbeing - we don’t know how she’s doing now, but we can all hope life has been quieter for her lately.
- Can entities work together?
Peter had a question for you in the pinned comment: can multiple entities work together in a haunting, and were they joining forces to scare and disturb Adam and Jane?
You told us that yes, more than one presence can exist in the same place - and many of you felt this case could involve layered or overlapping entities rather than a single source.
Most of you didn’t see this as a conscious “team effort” or anything deliberately coordinated. Instead, you talked about coexistence, overlap, and disturbance - the sense that different presences might share the same space, interacting indirectly or not at all. For many of you, the fear didn’t feel like the goal. It felt more like a by-product or something that emerged when people moved into a place that already carried history, energy, or unresolved weight.
- Was it something about that house?
Many of you said you found Adam’s house itself unsettling - that closet, in particular, stood out as the kind of feature that naturally draws unease. Some of you suggested practical responses - keeping it open, removing it if possible, or avoiding it altogether, while others shared memories of creepy furniture from their own childhoods. That, in turn, prompted people to talk about houses where everything felt fine except for one room, cupboard, or corner - places that didn’t need dramatic activity to feel wrong, but still left a lasting impression.
- What’s haunted - a place or the people?
Beyond Adam’s house itself, many of you widened the discussion to how hauntings work more generally. A lot of comments returned to the idea of places as anchors - homes that seem to hold on to something long after circumstances or occupants have changed. In this view, people move through these spaces, but the atmosphere remains, concentrating around particular rooms or features rather than following individuals from place to place. Several of you drew on your own experiences of houses that felt unsettled regardless of who lived there, reinforcing the sense that location matters.
Alongside this, a smaller group of you explored the idea of attachment to people rather than places. These comments often leaned into spiritual or religious frameworks, including the possibility of demonic attachment or oppression. Where this view came up, it was usually framed as rare, and linked to vulnerability or long-term exposure.
Some of you also suggested hybrid explanations, where something rooted in a place may form a connection to a person over time.
- Your sceptical voices
Some of you approached the story from a more sceptical angle, and for the most part this came through as thoughtful interpretation rather than dismissal. Many comments explored practical or environmental explanations, usually framed as possibilities rather than certainties. Where opinions differed, the discussion felt strongest when that scepticism stayed curious and kind - remembering that these are real people, sharing real experiences.
- Share your story?
Finally, the last three episodes, all drawn from stories sent in by this community, have clearly inspired many of you to get in touch! We’ve received a wonderful number of new stories recently, and it’s been genuinely fascinating to read them all - thank-you! If you have a story you’d like to share, we’re always keen to hear from you - you can find our submission form here: bit.ly/ITF-YourStory
Next week, I’ll be reading through your thoughts on two new episodes that are coming this weekend for the 'Into the Fog Weekender'! IT FOLLOWED goes out on Saturday at 4:45pm UK time, with CORNERED following on Sunday, also at 4:45 UK time.
There’s also the Patreon Live Q&A later on Sunday - and if you’re not a Patron but would like to enter our prize draw for a free place, you can do so here. The draw’s open until Friday at midnight UK time: youtube.com/post/UgkxQ0tT7LlXuBqO4YSxVcUWo4ptv4e3v… - good luck!
Take care till then,

Into the Fog with Peter Laws
Hiya folks,
Steph here again, and I’m still busy helping Peter with the channel 🙂
This week, reading through your comments on our latest video has been particularly emotional. I’ve written twenty-three of these now (which still feels slightly unreal), and while I’m used to how thoughtful and heartfelt your responses always are, this is the first time I’ve seen so many of you say that a story genuinely moved you to tears! This story hit me hard too, so I found it so uplifting and comforting to read how much it meant to so many of you - thank-you all for being so open in your replies.
If you’ve not watched Zoe’s story yet, you can find it here - you might want to have tissues handy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4XZ2...
And if Zoe’s story has made you think about something that’s happened to you - something you feel could be shared in a future episode - we’d love to hear about it: bit.ly/ITF-YourStory
POLL RESULTS
This week, Peter had a question for you all: when Zoe dug out the cherry tree and found the small blue bundle buried underneath, she chose not to open it and look inside, but instead she put it back in the ground, just as she’d found it. What would you have done if that had happened in your garden?
You replied in the Live Chat as well as in your comments here, and across both places, 265 of you have shared your answers - I really appreciate every one of you who took the time to think about this and respond! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was fascinating that nearly half of you (48%) said straight away that your first instinct would have been to unwrap it. For many, this was just simple curiosity, and the feeling that not knowing would haunt you more than looking, whatever you found inside.
A lot of you mentioned a sense of responsibility, and concern that if it was something with a darker history, it was important for you to then deal with it appropriately.
Almost a third of you (30%) said you wouldn’t look at all, choosing instead to rebury it, just as Zoe did. These comments often spoke about boundaries and respect - a sense that whatever was buried there was meant to stay that way, and you wanted to honour that. Many of you mentioned prayers, blessings, or simply taking care to put it back properly, rather than disturbing it further.
We did just suggest those two options in the video, but then there were the 22% of you who actually said you’d do both: unwrap it briefly, deal with whatever you found appropriately and then rebury it. These responses often tried to strike a balance between wanting to understand what you were dealing with, but also feeling it was important to return it to the ground respectfully once that was done. (Having thought about it, I reckon this is what I would have done too.)
On top of those, several of you suggested other approaches altogether, such as asking someone else to look for you, taking the bundle somewhere else to rebury it off your own property or involving the police or other authorities before doing anything at all.
As you might expect, the poll answers made up a big chunk of the comments this week, but there were a few other themes I didn’t want to ignore...
- Messages for Zoe and her family
It was so good to read all the lovely comments for Zoe and her family! There was such a lot of admiration for the way she handled the situation - calmly, with empathy, and without rushing to label or escalate what she was experiencing but instead, responding with care and kindness. Many of you commented on how instinctive her response felt, as though she simply knew what to do in that moment, and followed that quietly and without drama. There was a real warmth to these comments, and a sense of people wanting to acknowledge the care that was shown, not just the haunting experience itself.
- Sadness at the idea of a child being alone
This was one of the most emotional threads running through the comments. Many of you wrote about how upsetting you found the idea of a child being alone after death. Often this was the moment the story really hit home - not because it was frightening, but because it was heartbreaking. Several of you said this was what moved you to tears, and that feeling has stayed with you long after the video ended.
- What might have been buried beneath the tree
Quite a few of you speculated about what the small blue bundle might have been. The most common thought by far was that it might have been a pet - something loved and lost, buried quietly and with care. Others wondered about keepsakes or personal items, but overall the tone of these comments wasn’t sensational or morbid. It felt thoughtful, and often quite protective, as though people were instinctively imagining the most tender explanation rather than the most dramatic one.
- Gentleness over confrontation
However, what came through most this week was your deep appreciation for gentleness - both in the way Peter told the story, but also in how Zoe dealt with what she encountered. A lot of you explicitly contrasted this with more familiar paranormal narratives of exorcism, banishment, or force, and said how refreshing it was to hear about Zoe’s instinctive compassion instead. The idea that love, care, and calm attention might be a better response resonated deeply with many of you. I thought that @CrowsAngel67 put it perfectly:
“I’m so glad she was able to help the child move on, sometimes that's all it takes is a soft voice and an open heart.”
Thank you, again, for being such an amazing community. With the poll, I was expecting one-word replies and a quick tally this week, but instead I found myself reading thoughtful reflections on grief, responsibility, and what it means to act gently in situations that don’t come with clear rules. It really means a lot that you feel comfortable sharing things like this here, and, as ever, it’s been such a privilege to read them all.
This is normally where I say I’ll be back next week, but we’re actually going to be taking a short break over Christmas - our next video comes out on December 27th at 4:45PM UK time, and it’s another totally new story that’s never been told before… and this one’s definitely spooky. I’ll be back to look at all your thoughts on it on January 8th - can’t wait to read what you make of it!
Until then, whether the run-up to Christmas is a busy, exciting or difficult time for you, I’m sending lots of love and good wishes to you all - I hope you have a wonderful festive time, whatever that looks like for you. And thank-you again for making this part of my Fog-role such a delight - it’s so good to be part of it, and you’re all brilliant :)
See you next year!
