REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES

Thanks for making it to Real Women Real Stories' YouTube channel!

Since launching Real Women Real Stories in March 2016 the platform has continued to grow. We enable women to raise their voice on what they feel needs attention.

We would like your help to continue to grow, expand and keep producing quality content about women who discuss contents and topics ignored, denied, censored, suppressed, marginalized or inadequately covered by the mainstream media, governmental institutions, and other information gatekeepers.

To do this, we would like to increase our funding to be able to pay all of our contributors and support the crew members to pursue the highest standards of film-making they can.

Our project includes original content and first-hand accounts only.
We hope you can become a patron, and join our community!

REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES

Focusing on the Tuam home where 796 babies are believed to have been buried in a septic tank, this documentary tells the powerful story of survivors and families uncovering the truth. Hundreds of children died of neglect or were adopted, often illegally, from the notorious institution run by Bons Secours nuns.

The filmmaker has followed the unfolding of events of the scandal as they have come to light for several years to make this definitive film about Ireland’s missing children and what really happened to them. Following the Irish government’s decision to excavate the burial site at Tuam, which unlocked the DNA to identify the babies and their surviving relatives, the documentary tells the personal stories behind the international scandal which continues to affect lives in Ireland, the UK and the US.

The is a film about a nation coming to terms with its past, and its present. #Ireland

REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES

In 1973, the US Supreme court decision Roe v. Wade recognized the right to privacy and self-determination. In 2016, abortion remains one of the most divisive issues in America, especially in Missouri. This documentary sheds new light on the contentious issue with a focus on the women and their stories, rather than the debate.

It covers stories of women struggling with unplanned pregnancies, abortion providers and clinic staff, and activists on both sides of this contentious debate. This is a a riveting, poignant and important documentary that gives women a voice and opens up the discussion regarding pregnancy and the choices that come with it. At any rate, it is a very interesting timely documentary that omitted the useless politicians and put faces on the issue.

We highly recommend it. Leave a comment and share. #abortion

REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES

"Hijacking Catastrophe" is a riveting documentary which examines the possibility that neoconservatives used the September 11 attacks to usher in a new doctrine of expanding American power through military force under the guise of a "war on terror" and that the doctrine, known as the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), had been laid out prior to 9/11 by its authors, which include Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush, and Dan Quayle.

It's show the alpha male pathology and manipulation that drives men to war and motivates them to want to protect their own that this documentary explores most effectively.

The film goes beyond simple Bush-bashing to paint a horrifying portrait of organized U.S. imperialist expansion and public deception stretching back to the early Reagan era. This film isn't some crack-pot conspiracy film with half-baked theories and unjustifiable statements. This is an educational and somewhat frightening expose' of what is really going on in our world.

REALWOMEN/REALSTORIES

This is the inside story of Mark Kennedy, a south London police officer who spent eight years undercover as a dedicated activist, having infiltrated the environmental movement and Europe's left-wing extremist political groups. Now, with his cover blown, Kennedy has lost his wife and children, and the friends he made during his time with the protesters have labelled him a traitor. In this documentary film, Kennedy discusses the consequences of his actions.

And then there are the women. Those in the environment movement claim Kennedy had many sexual relationships through the years, and some believe it was a systematic means of gaining trust and gathering intelligence. One woman with whom he had a relationship overseas said she felt "violated" when he was outed as a police officers.

Kate Wilson, one of the women who had sued the police in the high court, started a case in 2018 at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, alleging the police had infringed her human rights in five ways. The tribunal found that Kennedy had "invaded the core of her private life", "caused her mental suffering" and that he had "interfered" with her "sexual autonomy" and showed "a profound lack of respect" for her "bodily integrity and human dignity."

It found that his actions were an "abuse of the highest order." In January 2022 the tribunal found that Kennedy had "grossly debased, degraded and humiliated" his victim and awarded her £229,000 in compensation. The tribunal described Kennedy as a "highly unreliable narrator" and stated "we do not consider we can put any weight on statements and comments he has made".
