I got the clown fig 🤡🌿
Finally found one after over a year of looking — and for $6?! Couldn’t pass it up.

She’s cute, but let me tell you… not low-maintenance 😭 Wants bright light, humidity, and emotional support. Basically a ficus with an attitude and a designer wardrobe.

Water when dry(ish), no cold drafts, and definitely don’t move her around too much unless you enjoy watching leaves drop in real time 😂

🛑 Don’t Buy This Jade Plant! 🪴⚠️
If you’re plant shopping and spot leaves like this 👇—back away slowly. These jade plants are infested with scale insects!

Scale insects look like tiny brown bumps stuck to the leaves and stems. They feed on plant sap and can cause yellowing, leaf drop, and even plant death if left untreated. Once they’re on your plant, they can quickly spread to your other houseplants.

👀 What to Look For:
✔️ Small brown, tan, or black bumps on the leaves
✔️ Sticky residue or black sooty mold
✔️ Distorted or yellowing foliage

🧼 How to Treat Scale (if you already brought it home):
1. Isolate the plant immediately
2. Wipe leaves with rubbing alcohol or insecticidal soap
3. Scrape off visible bugs with a soft toothbrush or cotton swab
4. Repeat treatment weekly for a few weeks
5. Inspect your other plants for signs of infestation

Hey plant friends! 👋 I didn’t find the Burle Marx Flame at Lowe’s during my last hunt, but good news — it’s available online! If you’ve been wanting this beauty, here are two options:

🛒 Costa Farms — Direct from the grower
💚 Walmart — Also Costa Farms, but usually cheaper!

Tip: I bought mine from Walmart — it was less expensive for the same plant from the same grower. So check both and save a few bucks! 💸💚
