I tell stories with visual explanations of what actually happened. Trying to understand how and why things happen can help avoid such tragedies in the future. Please subscribe so you don't miss the next breakdown video.
These videos are all researched, written, edited and animated by me. You can help support the work I do through BuyMeACoffee if you're interested in doing that. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Well, YouTube doesn't like the frostbitten hand in the thumbnail/video of my Mount Everest tragedy video. I am reposting it tomorrow, with the offending images blurred. If you want to watch again for the algorithm, I'd really appreciate it. If not, I understand - just a heads-up. Thanks for watching and I'm currently working on the next video!!

Did you get notified about this new video? One of the most devastating stories for cavers getting stuck is the Neil Moss story. I just posted this video a month ago and only 15% of subscribers watched it. If you missed it, be sure to check it out. Along with Nutty Putty and Floyd Collins, the Neil Moss story is a claustrophobic nightmare!

Just wanted to tell you all that I am almost done with the next video – about 80% complete. It has been a slow couple of months because of my day job. I am submitting 5 grants in 5 months (which is a lot!), so I have been busy at the lab. Hang in there and a new video will be coming soon! Thanks for the continued support.

Happy New Year! I just wanted to say thank you for all of the support and kind comments this year that help validate the work I do. Now that the holidays are passing, I hope to get back to my regular posting schedule. It’s still just me making the videos - from the idea and script, down to the final animations and edits. It takes a lot of time to craft a good story and make animations that help tell it. If you’d like to help support that work, you can BuyMeACoffee, which is a super simple way to click and support. I appreciate the continued engagement with likes and comments – it’s really important for the growth of the channel. I will continue to try to find ways to make more videos, and your support really matters because I have dozens of stories ready to be told. Enjoy your holiday break and here’s to an incredible 2025! www.buymeacoffee.com/fatalbreakc

A new video will be posted later today! I just want to ask you all to please watch it, comment what you think, and like the video. I know everyone wants more videos, and I am trying! I have a full-time job as a research scientist, but I will be posting a few extra videos over the next month or two. Your engagement really helps me to make more quality videos. Thank you for your continued support!

Just a quick note about the new video. This is a re-post of a video that I made about 6 months ago. YouTube didn’t like the drowning imagery, so I removed some clips and re-made the graphics and animations. I hope you will watch it anyway, but I just wanted to let you know. I’m working on a new video now. Thanks for the continued support!
