Really happy with that last video. Bit annoyed that it's gotten less than 100 views in 4 days, but eh. I notice my videos will every so often just so happen to do really well seemingly at random. I think it's cause those videos released right around some big new game (Pikmin 4, Sonic x Shadow, Mario Kart World) and so they were relevant enough for the robots that run the site to push them in peoples faces. Which like...I COULD focus more on that but I also don't really WANT to.
Like this month I want to work on the next Spirits Origins video cause it's certainly been long enough, gonna try and release it by December. Then after that I want to make a Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventure video. Cause like I just REALLY wanna delve into that bizarre corner of the Pac-Man Multiverse.
And it's like I KNOW they're gonna get 150-200 views tops cause they aren't relevant, but also god damn I need to get this stuff out of my head. I can't imagine how full time YouTubers deal with this. No wonder they always bring up the algorithm as a joke.
Getting really close to done on my new video, just need to wrap up editing and export it and we're good. Should be up tomorrow or the day after, just in time for Halloween.
Reminder our topic is a look back at the various ghosts of Pac-Man! I'd like to say I'm talking about ALL of them, but I'm sure I missed a few somewhere lol. But I AM gonna talk about 97 of them, including the likes of Tim, Golvis, Fred, the Spectral Monsters, Winky, Aloha, the G-Hosts, and my personal favorite, Wandy the Wizard.
So y'know screw it I'll just title it something like 'Explaining NEARLY every Pac-Man Ghost' or something. I'm proud of this one dammit and I'm gonna hold onto that.
Editing on the new video's been going smoothly, should have it out by Halloween. Gonna be talking about the Pac-Man ghosts for like 30+ minutes so that's gonna be fun!
I feel like I should have more to say but no that's about it I think. Just wanted to say SOMETHING y'know?
Been waiting for inspiration to strike me and get me working on a new video script and I think it FINALLY happened! This month imma do a Pac-Man video. Largely thanks to Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac being one of the best remakes ever. Seriously I grew up with World 2 and this remake is THE definitive version of that game imo. Revisiting it and Pac-Man as a whole has done a lot to get the gears turning again.
Specifically I've had 2 Pac-Man videos I've wanted to do, one about the ghosts, and another about the World series in general, so I'll see if I can get them both out these next 2 months. Then maybe the next Spirits Origins video for December, once I've warmed myself back up.
Welp the Mario Kart World Retro Songs Comparison is done. Huzzah and hooray. Good lord I am tired. Turns out releasing a new video every 3 days is very draining, regardless of how simple they are.
Thanks a ton to all the people who watched, and even more to the ones who subbed. Hopefully my non-music endeavors are enough for you to stay for at least a week or two before moving on.
I'll probably do more music comparisons in the future, Smash Bros being a high contender for that. But I also might make videos for the other Mario Karts, cause to my surprise no one seems to have done that. I swear there used to be music comparisons for the other Karts but I can't find them anymore. But oh well, more clout for me I guess.
As for my next video in general, I'm taking the rest of September off after all those videos. Next vid will come out in October. Got a few ideas bouncing around for what it could be, might try doing something vaguely Halloween themed, but we'll see.
I miscalculated when the next and final Mario Kart World video should go live. But it's live now so it's all good. What a me thing to do tho, fucking up the grand finale to the series like that.
So that direct was pretty good imo. Mario Galaxy trailer, Galaxy 1 & 2 on Switch, Mario Wonder Switch 2 edition with the Koopalings, new Yoshi, new Fire Emblem, Prime 4 release date, Pokopia, multiple 3rd parties including Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil. And of course the absolute hilarity of the Virtual Boy coming to NSO AND requiring a $100 plastic shell to play. Sure that's insane, but it's also REALLY funny.
So I played Sonic Racing Crossworlds during the open beta recently and yeah game is pretty good. Here's my thoughts on it in relation to Mario Kart World:
It never sinks in how big something is, until you attempt to properly quantify it. For example, Smash Ultimate alone has 1,068 songs in it, which of course sounds big,but then you start scrolling through the list and it ready dawns on you just how many songs are in that one game.
In other news I've started the organization for the music comparison project and dear god, I'm gonna need some time to decide how to format this. As an example there's the Ground Theme from Super Mario Bros. In Ultimate alone we got the original theme, ripped from the NES game, the 64 mix from Peach's Castle, the Melee mix from Princess Peach's Castle, the Brawl mix from Mushroomy Kingdom, the Band Performance ripped straight from Odyssey, a Smash 4 mix combining it with the Underground theme, AND a Super Mario Bros. Medley where it's the first song. There's ALSO Ground Theme 2 which never returned after Brawl. There's also ALSO the fact the Underground and Underwater themes get their own remixes and are part of the Medley so like UGH.
I'll...try to come up with something nice and smooth. This should really only be a problem for the big franchises too so.

So yeah pretty solid direct. Like a good 7.5/10
