Art directing a stop motion for LEGO!!😱
Out of all the crazy projects I’ve worked on this year this one takes the cake. We used a combination of Lego bricks and kid-crafted elements to create these amazing sets for #Lego #BuildTheChange . Not only was it a dream project to work on but the message behind it was most important. We got to work one on one with children in schools to and helped inspire them to think big and build their ideal worlds. We then took their ideas and implemented them into the stop motion piece. Even my son had a few of his in there. Thanks to @stoopidbuddystoodios for trusting me with this and to @lego for letting us all bring this to life! And huge thanks to @johnandrewmyers who sat with me for weeks making tiny cardboard buildings together. Full video coming soon.

Had fun playing pretend at @mattel ‘s 80th Anniversary show at @coreyhelfordgallery this weekend with @mattelcreations . Thank you to all the people who stopped by to chat. Being able to make ridiculous things like this phone is a real privilege. I had the idea to make this piece about three years ago when I was working on Potato Face. I wanted to have a whole show of vintage toys that were brought to life but wound up never having the time to do it. Finally in October I had a moment and planned on starting the phone. One week into working on him I got the invitation to do the Mattel show at Corey Helford and it was perfect serendipity… SO HERE HE IS! More fun stuff to come ✨
