We don’t know how long Bully puppy Queso was struggling on the streets, but when one of our team members found him, it was clear he was in dire need of help. Queso was struggling to walk, his rear right leg swollen and too painful to bear weight. His abdomen was bloated, bruised, and tender, and a fluid-filled sack was visible on his side. The bruising extended to his legs and chest, and we have no doubt that this poor boy was the victim of brutal violence.⁠

As we examined him further, small pieces of plastic were found in his feces—a sign of the lengths he went to just to survive. Starving and desperate, Queso had likely resorted to eating whatever he could find just to stay alive, even if it wasn’t food. Thankfully, X-rays showed no broken bones, but blood work indicated alarmingly elevated kidney values. His wounds suggest he may have been bitten by a snake or some other venomous creature. We’ve started him on antibiotics and pain management medication and are monitoring him closely.⁠

Despite everything, Queso still has the spirit of a puppy. He is confused and a little scared, but so loving and resilient. He’s a fighter, and we’re determined to give him the chance to grow up healthy, happy, and safe, but we can’t do it alone. Queso’s vet bills are already mounting rapidly, and he is still far from being out of the woods.⁠

I have tried to even find the words on this intake and all I come up with is tears . They bring me to my knees. Their story is so disgusting. What they have endured at just 10 weeks old is mind blowing. There’s so much we are still working to figure out but what I can share is they need you right now. They were brought to animal control after being found behind a trash can with their rectums both fully out and major trauma to both. One was barely alive after bleeding out by that trash can.. we have them both admitted and facing Multiple surgeries to repair what has been done. Both of these girls will need rectal prolapse repair and intestine resection. We need 8-10k just for immediate surgeries . I know you all are exhausted as I am. Begging for money isn’t the fun side of this but they don’t have a voice so I will do it for them. They need you .please help today even if it’s a dollar it will make a difference . Spirit is one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen truly no exaggeration. She is delightfully pudgy, with the most adorable, rompy paws. When it was time to move her, she didn’t want to leave her blanket, which made the moment even more heartbreaking.

Spirit is currently on the euthanasia list due to possible ringworm, sarcoptic mange, or demodectic mange. With timely rescue and treatment, she has an excellent chance at a healthy, happy life.

We want to share an update on Baby Gina. we received a call for help for an emaciated puppy found in a Bronx apartment building.

Baby Gina’s condition was horrific; she was vomiting and weak. With just one look at her, you can feel her suffering.

We immediately took her into our care and rushed her to our partner vet.

Our doctors got to work, ran blood work and X-rays, and started documenting her body condition.

Tonight, Baby Gina is in serious but stable condition. She is anemic, her proteins are low, and she has enamel hypoplasia, all from malnutrition. Her biggest battles are she has a urinary tract infection and is at high risk of refeeding syndrome. Refeeding syndrome can appear in the blink of an eye and quickly becomes life-threatening.

The doctors are monitoring her closely, and she will remain hospitalized during this critical time.

The good news is that she has not vomited since last night, is tolerating feedings, and was able to pass stool.

We want to thank everyone for rallying to save Baby Gina. We will continue to do everything we can to keep her stable.

🆘Over the last hour, we have been dealing with an emergency coming out of the Bronx. A woman found an emaciated puppy in a critical state roaming the halls of her apartment building. Not only is she skin and bones, but she is vomiting and weak. We rushed her to our partner vet for immediate care. The vets think she is just a few months old.

Just one look at her, and you can feel her suffering. Her condition is pure abuse, neglect, and the work of the devil.

The next 48 hours are critical. The doctors are running bloodwork and X-rays to rule out an obstruction. She will be monitored around the clock for a life-threatening condition called Refeeding Syndrome.

There are so many unknowns. We are just praying she can pull through. She is just a baby.

We need to focus on her tonight, and tomorrow, we will work on contacting the building super to find out where she came from.

Please help us save Baby Gina tonight. Emergency care is very expensive and we won’t spare any cost for her. She’s already been let down a million times over, and we won’t do that to her. No donation is too small.

URGENT: Someone Threw Her Out By The Dumpsters Soaked In Urine & Barely Alive⁠

When Guppy was found, she was barely alive, discarded like trash by a dumpster behind an apartment complex, and soaked in urine. She weighed just 7 pounds, and after her urine-soaked fur was shaved off, only 6 lbs 3 oz remained of her broken frame.⁠

This is a dog who should weigh 25 pounds. Instead, she was a skeleton, hypothermic and unresponsive—fighting to hold onto what little life she had left. The shelter that took her in did everything they could. They rotated her fragile body to prevent bed sores, gave her fluids, anti-nausea meds, and antibiotics. They even offered her tiny amounts of food, but she couldn’t eat. She was too far gone, too critical. Without rescue, Guppy would have had no chance. So we stepped in. We rushed her into emergency care, where our medical team is now fighting to give her that chance. ⁠

Guppy cannot stand on her own. Her body is so wasted that she has no muscle mass. We’re learning more about her case every day, but right now our focus is keeping her alive. We are begging for help for Lara.
She came to us in critical condition.

Lara is approximately 10 years old. She is severely emaciated, dehydrated, and suffering from hypoglycemia. She has heart arrhythmia, is heavily infested with fleas and ticks, and is fighting for her life.

She has an open wound in her left eye socket, filled with fly larvae. The eyeball is still present, but the damage is so severe that we cannot yet determine if it can be saved. Her left front paw also has a serious injury, again with the presence of larvae.

Inside her mouth, we discovered a tumor measuring nearly 10 cm, locking her jaw shut. She cannot open her mouth, eat, or swallow on her own. To keep her from starving, she must be fed through a tube.

We rescued Lara even without the financial means to do so — because leaving her like this was not an option.
But now, we desperately need help to continue her treatment, diagnostics, procedures, and hospitalization.

Every single donation matters.
This is an urgent update on Lara’s fight to survive.
