People have been asking me what I think of Avatar: Fire & Ash since they know I was a massive fan of the Avatar & Avatar: The Way of Water. The answer should come as no surprise.

Avatar Fire & Ash is undeniably EXCELLENT! (although some are certainly trying their utmost to find ways of coping with the films ongoing success) James Cameron said he split Avatar: The Way of Water into two movies due to the how large the project grew and Fire & Ash definitely confirms that. The Way of Water was criticised for being slow and dull due to how expository it was (I actually like lore of Avatar so I wasn't bored in the slightest) but it's not hard to see why considering how much The Way of Water had to setup. The Recom Avatars, The Sully Family, Kiri, Spider, The Metkiyina, The Tulkun all of which play a vital role in the sequel and as a result Avatar: Fire & Ash because of this James Cameron is able to cut loose and make the movie far more action packed and less expository from start to finish. Not only that but Fire & Ash pays off much of the open plot threads that were setup in The Way of Water and pretty much every main character gets taken on a journey that further develops them in a way that's very satisfying for fans of the franchise without it feeling like pandering or fanservice. Though there are some very nice call-backs to the previous films that were much appreciated and the battle sequences prove that James Cameron still knows best and how to do movies right. Unlike some I had enormous hype for this film and the movie surpassed my expectations.

Now with that said here's a list of the most prominent "arguments" against the film that I've seen the usual suspects pass off as actual criticism and still refusing to backpedal their idiotic internet trend chasing position on the matter.

The Dances with Wolves "argument" (ofcourse) now this is a dead corpse at this point for anyone that possesses a modicum of intelligence and it's only still uttered by those without an actual argument of their own riding the "popular thing to say" and it's dripping with double standard (ofcourse) that doesn't apply to the films that they like. Side note: having seen Dances With Wolves myself it doesn't hold a candle to Avatar you may hate "blue monkeys in space" yeah well I find a four hour film that moves slower than continents the first hour of which is just Kevin Costner bare ass in the middle of nowhere to be incredibly tedious and uncompelling so there. Not to mention how can it be Dances with Wolves in space if it's also been labelled about 15 other fucking things in space as well lmao - weak sauce

The next one "They're all the same movies" is another really dumb "argument" with a comical degree of double standard because:

1) I thought the "problem" was that Avatar was too similar to other movies now you're saying it's too similar to itself? lmao.

2) Having aspects of the previous movies in your sequel doesn't make it a carbon copy and the list of examples we could go on for days - Terminator 2 they send another cyborg back through time, Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker fights another mentor figure who loses his mind and becomes a villain, Die hard 1 2 3 & 4 John McClane wrong place wrong time has to stop a bad guy who wants money. Obviously these movies aren't carbon copies of each other but they would be under the same criteria people use to discredit the Avatar films which is why the bulk of humanity rolls their eyes at how stupid the "argument" actually is.

The Box Office "decline" is one of the dumbest "arguments". I've seen that the media and some influencers are spinning Avatar Fire & Ash's $340 Million Dollar opening weekend as a "failure" because it's a decline from Avatar The Way of Water's opening weekend lmao umm okay? now I've actually made lengthy videos on the worldwide box office works with movies like these they seem to think that Marvel films who often bait an enormous opening weekend with cheap trailer bait and then sharply decline in the following weeks is what constitutes the standard for success which couldn't be further from the truth. Yes marvel films make money (or used to) but GOOD movies make their money long term not short term after all The Way of Water didn't have a bigger opening weekend than Spider-Man No Way Home (for example) but it ended up making a lot more money without relying on any of Marvel's cheap tricks and nostalgia bait BS and even though idiots were PRAYING that it would bomb and said that no one even remembers Avatar lmao remember that? and hell the first Avatar made less in the opening weekend than both it's sequels and its the highest grossing film of all time. Fire & Ash has already made bank and its going to keep making bank because it's a great film will it crack two billion dollars? maybe not although I am predicting it will but the fact that people are chomping at the bit to laugh at James Cameron and say "Haha you're film only made one billion dollars not two billion" ….wow isn't that just sad aye lol that being said these people will likely flipflop and say "Yeah well box office doesn't determine quality" YES that's true in a vacuum but Avatar's consistent success financially doesn't happen by accident or "in spite of" good storytelling.

The "Only the visuals are good" is becoming the most laughable "argument" at this point, again people pretended that no one remembered the first Avatar and passed it off as just "pretty visuals" and that Avatar: The Way of Water would bomb hard and then they all looked like complete jackasses and quickly stfu when it came out and had almost the same success as the first one did, well with Avatar: Fire & Ash they are returning to the same tired playbook .....again (sigh) it's one thing if a pretty movie makes money but that doesn't explain why Avatar keep topping the charts and keeps making a godly amount of money at the box office - yes the visuals are the best in the business but people don't empty their wallets multiple times across the entire globe to see a tech demo the people making this claim are merely projecting their own shallow BS onto others. Avatar clearly has an enormous fanbase who obviously remember the world, the characters & the story and are eager to see what happens next they go to see these films for the whole package which is why they are so successful Fire & Ash included.

The irony behind the weak sauce of Avatar hatred is that the majority of "criticisms" are completely idiotic because they have no interest in judging Avatar as a movie or as art they simply want to see it burn because James Cameron committed the cardinal sin of not giving these clowns Aliens 3 or Terminator 3 or simply because they have a political bias that prevents them from engaging with a "tree hugger" movie neutrally but regardless there are valid criticisms of each Avatar film that can be made but the loudest critics/idiots in the zeitgeist are too stupid or simply ignorant to actually recognise these flaws and I've actually seen fans of the series who love these movies make a far more compelling case with their own criticisms then the online echo sphere of media and influencer dipshits have.

That being said Avatar Fire & Ash great movie go see it definitely worth it and even if the Avatar movies aren't for you that's fine don't spend your money but don't open your mouth either.

You may not like Avatar but all these clowns trying run it into the ground simultaneously scream "Why don't we get good movies anymore" well to quote Fire & Ash "You've got eyes you just need to open them" because all the independent art and storytelling you crave from the "good old days" Avatar is one of the last pieces of that we are going to get for a long time at this scale of production. Your kids are likely going to grow up loving Avatar and ask "Where did movies like this go?" to which the correct answer is sorry sunshine your daddy told the suits we hate movies like this and now they don't make them anymore blame him.

It isn't too late to backpedal on the anti-Avatar bandwagon maybe next time don't dig yourself such a deep trench on such a dumb hill to die on.

Anyway yeah I only wrote this because certain viewers of mine wanted to know my thoughts on Avatar Fire & Ash and yeah this post basically sums it up and then some.

This has been the busiest year of my life planning this wedding, working two jobs through the holidays, trying to maintain a social balance & I still haven't finished my current project so making a video for Fire & Ash to my great regret simply wasn't going to happen.

But I wish you all a Merry Christmas even those of you who don't particularly like or care for my opinions on stuff hold your families close and enjoy the holidays.

UPDATE: The Legacy of George Lucas Part 4 is coming out very soon much sooner than I thought

Reason being given how long the final part is shaping up to be I decided to split it into two videos so there will be a Part 4 & Part 5 that will hopefully wrap up the entire series possibly even a very short Part 6 as well since I'm trying to section the series into topics that don't wildly differ from one another.

Without giving too much away here's a little insight into the upcoming project

Part 4 will talk about the many lies and revisionism by both fans and the media regarding the reception of Jar Jar Binks as well as Child Anakin Skywalker as well as the disgusting hypocrisy of the media condemning the same fans they once endorsed when it came to throwing shade at characters from the Disney trilogy as well as the actors who played them case in point would be Kelly Marie Tran.

Part 5 will discuss the recent idiotic and hypocritical comments made Marcia Lucas directed at the prequels as well as her heavily revisionist and contradictive claims about what she actually contributed to Star Wars as well as several other bitter Star Wars alumni members clambering for their bite of relevance from Star Wars history.

Anyway I'm looking forward to finally wrapping this project up soon (hopefully before my wedding which is still months away haha) but also so I can get back to making regular content again (more bite sized content I'm thinking)

To those wondering about The Phantom Menace review I promised I am sorry to say that isn't coming anytime soon and honestly maybe never I had legitimately begun the review in earnest but out of that spawned this utter monster of a project that has taken way too long to finish and I'm sure you can all understand I don't have it in me to undertake another massive project so soon after this video series is finished.

Though granted The Phantom Menace review would be a cake walk compared to this series any movie review would be but I felt it important to be transparent about what's actually going on - I didn't lie about doing the Phantom Menace review I simply got side-tracked while making it and devoted my time to a project I felt was much more important.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this and I know you'll all enjoy the rest of the series
