I’m alive! Sorry for the dry spell with videos the last few weeks. I’ve been busy launching a few other video projects here on YouTube (‪@LooseHooks‬ & ‪@ApertureZeero‬ ), getting my Depop shop up and running, and this week I started editing screen content for Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

I’ve been scripting a new video all about what I feel has been a very disappointing Techtober for Apple, and I hope to get that video out next week…

In the meantime I’ll be chopping some heavy metal broccoli for the next few days… 🔪🥦

Final Cut Pro 11.2 is out! But if you are still using a FireWire cable to import footage from a camcorder, don’t update! Apple is discontinuing support for this feature!

Just scored a bunch of digicams (and an AE-1) at a garage sale. The seller had been scooping up digicams at thrift stores for years and was finally getting rid of them. I got to shop the house! He was a big fan of Nikon but there are a couple of Canon digital cameras in there including a working G2!

He was trying to sell them for around $1 each and while I like a good deal I don’t like feeling like I’m ripping someone off. So I paid $86 for all the cameras. Keep in mind they’re untested, many are missing batteries, the AE-1 shutter advance is stuck…

About to go through them all to test them…

Press release from Apple about Final Cut Camera 2.0 mentions the upcoming release of Final Cut Pro 11.2. We don’t often see that but it’s not completely unheard of. Expect this update to come out in late October after new iPads and Macs are announced as part of Apple’s October event… 🔪🥦
