We are excited to announce that I Want To Mow Your Lawn Inc. in partnership with Marshall Machinery, is one of ten winners in the 2025 Kubota Hometown Proud program! Mr. Steve Martin of Sylvania, Ohio, receives well-deserved recognition from Congresswoman Kaptur for his outstanding volunteer service with I Want To Mow Your Lawn, a nonprofit providing free lawn care to those in need.

Since April 2024, Steve has dedicated his time to helping two households facing serious health challenges, completing 30 visits to provide bi-weekly lawn care. His efforts have ensured safe and well-maintained outdoor spaces for individuals who otherwise couldn’t manage on their own.

This recognition highlights the power of community service and the impact one volunteer can make. Thank you, Steve, for your generosity and commitment to helping others!

What a Mow-ment!

Four years ago, life felt like it was falling apart. I was laid off, my wife was pregnant, my father was battling terminal illness, and everything was uncertain. To cope, I started mowing lawns for neighbors, thinking it was just a small way to stay busy.

What started as a simple act turned into something bigger than I ever imagined—a grassroots journey connecting people and inspiring kindness. And now, this story might even hit the big screen as a feature film.

This project has grown thanks to incredible volunteers, supporters, and communities rallying together. It’s been a challenging yet rewarding road, balancing work, family, and the demands of running this initiative. Every small act of kindness along the way has created ripple effects far beyond what I could have seen.

Special thanks to Sam from In Theory Productions, Adam from Aperture Entertainment, and Walden Media for believing in this mission.

This journey belongs to everyone who’s been part of it. Thank you for your support, kindness, and belief in spreading hope and resilience.

I Want To Mow Your Lawn was featured on a Times Square NYC billboard for World Kindness Day, thanks to ‪@ganjingworld-official‬ and their #KindnessIsCool campaign. Being highlighted right below the ​⁠​⁠​⁠McDonalds ad, above ​⁠​⁠​⁠Old Navy store , and—as someone pointed out—right above the gift store, truly feels like a gift from the powers that be. We didn’t expect this moment! Our 25-second slot was seen every 15 minutes throughout the day!

None of this would be possible without amazing volunteers who give their time and energy to make a difference in their communities.

Honored to represent each one of them in this spotlight, spreading kindness one lawn at a time. It was also really nice to meet with Gan Jing World representatives in person—genuinely kind people who believe in our mission.

Throwback to four years ago today when we were featured on national TV ​⁠‪@CBSMornings‬ 🙏. It was a time of great uncertainty in the world, at the height of the pandemic. Helping others helped me.

This was before we became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Fast forward to today, with over 1,400 volunteers enlisted across the USA, 'I Want To Mow Your Lawn' is now an officially registered trademark!"

Wow, we've just hit a monumental milestone - 100,000 subscribers on our "‪@iwanttomowyourlawn‬" YouTube channel! 🎉 Starting this channel as a passion project 3.5 years ago, I never dreamed it would grow into the movement it is today. The public recognition has been amazing, and I'm deeply humbled and thankful for every bit of support. This milestone is particularly special because it represents something we've built together from scratch.

It's taken a lot of hard work, but the real impact we're making, one lawn at a time, is truly remarkable.
