🚨💰 | NEW:

After the summer of 2023, #MUFC CHANGED the way contracts for new signings and renewals are structured.

Players previously received a 25% salary increase upon a return to the Champions League. However, players must now EARN it.

Players MUST have played at least 60% of the minutes from the previous season to benefit from this increase.

Joshua Zirkzee didn’t meet this threshold last season, which means his salary did NOT increase this summer.

The club's logic is simple: players who struggled to establish themselves as starters, who fell short, or who are not part of the club's plans should not receive the same benefits as those who have proven themselves.

This allows the club to save millions in salaries and gives it greater leeway in the transfer market.

Marcus Rashford's new contract was signed before the club introduced these changes, and he will regain his full salary WITH the 25% increase.

Mason Mount ALSO benefits from the old system.

Radek Vítek, Harry Amass, Dan Gore and Toby Collyer have been told they are UNLIKELY to feature for #MUFC this season.

In the case of Vítek and Amass, United are prepared to sell both players or consider a loan with an option to buy. Gore and Collyer have been told that their best hope of regular football next season will be with the Under-21s.

🚨As much as I love Lisandro Martínez, we have to be honest — this is a player who simply cannot stay fit for a consistent run of games.

That ACL injury he suffered, has completely changed the course of his career. Since then, it feels like he’s never been able to properly build momentum or stay available long enough.

Licha is a warrior and a brilliant defender when fit, but Manchester United cannot keep relying on someone who is unavailable so often.

The club seriously need to start thinking about a long-term replacement in the near future. #mufc
