If Rafael Leão is genuinely available, Manchester United should at least be having that conversation.

Look.. if Ederson really is £35M (rising to £38M) on a £75,000 week salary *financially* it’s not a terrible deal.

Buy 2 other TOP midfielders and United fans (including myself) will feel a lot better about the deal.

INEOS have probably earned the right to be trusted overall.

INEOS and Manchester United need to understand that elite midfielders are NEVER cheap in modern football.

🗞️Declan Rice cost over €100M.
🗞️Enzo Fernández cost over €120M.
🗞️Moisés Caicedo cost over €110M.

That is simply the market for top midfielders now.

✅If Elliot Anderson is truly United’s No.1 target like reports have suggested for months, then the club must be prepared to pay €100M+ because Nottingham Forest will not let him go easily.

✅The same applies to Sandro Tonali. These are the type of midfielders that instantly elevate the level of the team, not just “good potential” signings.

Yes, players like Carlos Baleba and Mateus Fernandes are very talented, but there’s a difference between talent and proven elite quality.

If United truly want to compete with Europe’s best again, they need at least ONE elite midfield signing this summer. #MUFC
