Well...It's been a year since JoAnn Fabrics closed. Here's where I'm actually shopping now.

Where are you getting your fabric?

You don’t need hours to make progress. Even short sewing sessions can add up if you approach them the right way.

I put together some practical tips to help you make the most of whatever time you have.

One simple way to save time and money when sewing:

➡️ Buy zippers in bulk.

If you sew regularly (especially accessories), you’re going to need zippers again and again.

Buying multi-packs usually costs way less per zipper, and it means you don’t have to run to the store every time you want to start a project.

It also makes sewing feel more spontaneous... when you already have what you need, it’s a lot easier to just start.

If you’re interested, I’ve linked a few zipper packs I’ve personally used below. They come in a good range of colors and sizes and are great to have on hand:

✨Have you ever considered buying zippers in bulk? ✨

🧵This is one of those projects that can look a little intimidating at first…

…but it’s also one of the most useful things you can make.

If you’ve been curious about this tech organizer but weren’t sure if you could tackle it, I walk through everything step-by-step in the tutorial and break it down in a way that makes it much more manageable.

It’s an intermediate-level project, but if you’re ready to build your skills, this is a really rewarding one, and you end up with something you’ll actually use.

There’s also a full pattern available with detailed instructions to guide you through each step and help everything come together clearly.

The digital PDF sewing pattern that includes:

- 17 pattern pieces with labeled markings, seam allowances, and placement guides

- Full panel layout guide to help you assemble everything correctly

- Direct link + QR code to the full video tutorial for additional guidance

The pattern removes the guesswork and saves you time, so all you have to do is print, cut, and sew. ✂️

📢 Hey, I know it’s been a minute… things have been a little busy over here 😅 but I finally have something new to share!

👟I made this travel shoe bag because I got tired of throwing dirty shoes into my suitcase (or my car) and just hoping they wouldn’t get dirt or germs on anything…

This one is fully enclosed with a wipeable interior, so it actually contains the dirt and moisture, unlike a plastic grocery bag or mesh bag. It fits bulkier shoes like sneakers, opens wide so it’s easy to use, and then folds down into a compact roll when you don’t need it.

It’s one of those things that’s not flashy, but once you have it, it’s incredibly useful!

➡️I also created a full pattern for it if you want to make your own 👀

It includes:
• 7 shoe sizes (with a size chart for US women, men, kids + EU sizing) 👠
• All pattern pieces with seam allowances and placement guides
• Illustrated instructions to walk you through each step
• A printable layout so you don’t have to measure anything yourself
• A QR code that links straight back to the tutorial while you’re sewing

Basically, everything you need to just print, cut, and make it without guessing. 😃

Some sewing terms can feel a little confusing at first, especially when it seems like everyone else already knows what they mean.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering “wait… what does that actually mean?", I’ve got you covered.

I put together a video breaking down common sewing terms in a clear, beginner-friendly way.

Fair warning... this is one of my older videos 😅 but the information is still really solid and super helpful if you’re learning.

I’m working on a new sewing tutorial… 👀

There’s a clue in this photo... Can you guess what’s in the box?

I’ll be sharing the full project soon, but I’m curious what you think it might be.

✨ If someone guesses it EXACTLY right, I’ll send a free pattern to the first person who does when it’s released.
(Guesses must be made before the reveal/next video's release. After that, it doesn’t count. One winner only. 😉)

Drop your guess below 👇

When it comes to sewing supplies…

Are you someone who keeps a stash ready to go, or do you shop for each project as you need it?

🧵 I designed a tech organizer that actually makes sense.

Not just a bunch of random pockets, but a layout that’s built around what you actually carry:
✔️ cords that stay put (no elastic fail)
✔️ space for bulky chargers + adapters
✔️ flexible pockets for smaller items
✔️ everything visible when it’s open
✔️ folds into a compact box when you’re done

And if you want to make one for yourself, the pattern is now available 👇

This isn’t just cut pieces and guesswork. It’s a full system designed to save you time and frustration:
✨ 17 labeled pattern pieces with placement guides
✨ Full panel layout so you know exactly where everything goes
✨ Clear, graphic instructions (very visual, not text-heavy)
✨ Built-in cord wrap pattern included
✨ Direct link + QR code to the full video tutorial

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to plan something like this from scratch… this takes all of that off your plate.
