Hey beauty queens! We know it’s been a minute since we’ve reached out to you here! Frankly so much has been going on in our lives, but we recently found out some insane news that for those of you who have been following our journey for a while know what a full circle moment this is.

This is a screenshot from a team meeting of the moment I found out I will be interviewing Francois Nars—yes, the founder of NARS Cosmetics. This is such a full circle moment in my journey, because I started my career in beauty as a nars retail makeup artist.

We’re currently en route to the interview and will be posting exclusive behind-the-scenes content in our Instagram broadcast channel all day. Beauty queens I’ve had so much anxiety the last couple days.

It’s not something new just I haven’t experienced it this intensely in a very long time. I just wanted to tell y’all that every time the emotions were becoming too much I remembered this community and that as long as I show up, I can’t let you down. So even if I’m a little overwhelmed by life, in any capacity, I promise to keep showing up, and remind myself to be a little more gentle.

It’s ok to be anxious, but first thing tomorrow morning I am getting back into my meditation practice. It’s the one major thing I’ve let go of because there isn’t “time” but it’s the important part of self care for me.

A big hellooo to all my beauty queens!

We just spent two days in Palm Springs. They are actually known for their mineral waters some of which are 600 years old coming from a spring in the ground near the San Andreas fault.

Mineral baths give amazing detox properties to the skin and body. I’m a nerd I know! But my point is don’t forget about a good old epsom salt bath and the value it can have for not only your skin, but your mental and physical health too! Just here encouraging you to take care of yourself where you can even if it’s 15-20

I feel like we are all running a race in some way and it’s easy to forget to slow down. Trust me, it’s hard for me too! But just 20 mins of slowing down can make it so much easier to see where we really want to be going in our beautiful lives.

We made it to London beauty queens!!! The reception has been super warm. How is everyone’s day?

We are going to do our best to go to Boots tomorrow! We have an event where we are meeting Lisa Eldridge. She is the first beauty historian and makeup artist that I encountered that changed the way I view beauty. Her book is called Face Paint and it is my all time favorite beauty book ever!!!!

In ways Lisa might not know, she gave me permission to view beauty through a different lens. She empowered and birthed this idea in me that one day I can be aspirational to people in the way they see beauty. For me it’s about teaching all of you that beauty is the best modality of healing if you know how to use it! And today all of you remind me, that beauty is in fact healing and I am in fact challenging the way you experience it.

So another country, and another core memory unlocked for me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I met the Zeus of beauty artistry yesterday, Pat McGrath in SoHo Sephora, and tomorrow night I fly out to London with wifey to head to a Lisa Eldridge event and meet her! I didn’t know it would be possible for two of the most iconic women in beauty to know me! And to get meet both of them in one week. I’m still speechless. 😶

These are both women I admire so deeply for their love of the craft. And the way they create, it’s so admirable. Their art transcends words for me, and this is your reminder that you too can meet your idols/icons and you can dream bigger than maybe you’re giving yourself permission to right now!
