After several years building and riding city and mountain bikes around our shop in Colorado, Volton Bicycles was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 2011 after receiving very positive feedback on a electric assisted bicycle developed for family as an alternative to rehabilitation following surgery. Receiving great response from those first rides, and getting requests to build other bikes for recreation and community motivated our focus to supply quality electric bikes as a functional alternative to what was available.
