Black-headed pythons are one of Australia’s coolest snakes. Their glossy black head and banded body make them easy to recognize. They specialize in eating reptiles, including other snakes. They’re often active at night and spend a lot of time sheltering in burrows to escape the heat of the Australian outback. They can do very well under human care! Definitely one of the most underrated python species.
