I'm a bit of a gaming enthusiast who likes to explore niche topics that nobody else bothers to think about. When I created my channel in 2007, I primarily used it as a dumping ground for terrible videos produced with the help of HyperCam 2 (unregistered, of course) and Windows Movie Maker. Improvements in my computer's hardware and the availability of recording/editing software allowed me to make some (marginally better) videos focused on Super Smash Bros. Melee's debug menu. After that topic lost its luster, I embarked on a series of failed attempts to become a generic indie game reviewer/livestreamer before eventually deciding to just make long-form videos about the things that interest me. Whether or not a huge number of people end up watching them is a secondary concern, but I still hope you'll take a moment to look through my videos and maybe find something to enjoy!

A game with cyberspace AND playable Bandana Dee? It's like Sakurai was tasked with selling a Switch 2 to me specifically.

IN 48 HOURS, be ready to catch "Analyzing the Eeriness of Super Smash Bros. Melee" on this very channel! This video has languished in various stages of production since 2021 (possibly earlier), and I'm excited to finally share it with everyone. It's a bit of a departure from 2023's render-centric videos, but it touches on a ton of similar, nostalgic themes.
AND IN 72 HOURS, head over to my second channel for an extra dose of Melee! "Mirror Madness: Super Smash Bros. Melee" is a more experimental video in which I mirror my OBS Studio scene (and my controller inputs) in an attempt to disorient myself. Think Mario Kart's mirror mode, just significantly more slapdash. My muscle memory definitely screwed me over in a few places!
Worry not, my channel isn't going to become Melee-centric again. Believe me, I don't even want to LOOK Melee after dedicating so much of the past week to shooting and editing footage of it. I just needed to get this particular project out of my system (especially since it'll debut on the 23rd anniversary of Melee's launch in NTSC regions). Render Reviews will return soon enough, and other series will begin whenever I get around to them.
That's all I've got for now. As always, thanks for your support!

Hey folks, I just posted a video of a new roguelite called ASTROSWARM on my second channel (henceforth known as Kirbunny's Grab Bag instead of Kirbunny Plays). Check it out if you get a chance!
I realize that a low-effort gameplay video isn't what the majority of you want to see, but I recently moved and haven't had much time to sit down and play games (let alone work on the more intensive aspects of video production). I recorded the footage of ASTROSWARM during a brief reprieve from busyness, so just consider it a bonus more than anything else.
My life is on track to calm back down near the latter half of this month, so I should be able to resume work on the next (high-effort) video fairly soon. I've got most of a script already, but it needs another editing pass before I can be truly satisfied with it. And then I'll be in for a solid week or two of production, which sounds both exhausting and exciting. It'll be infinitely better than carrying boxes and vacuuming floors, at least.
That's all I've got for today. Thanks a bunch for your support, and I'll hopefully see you again soon!

IN 24 HOURS, my unofficial hiatus comes to an end with the launch of "Reviewing N64-Era Zelda Illustrations"! This video was super fun to make, and I'm excited to finally share it with everyone. If you're at all interested in the artwork produced for Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask (and/or their remakes), I highly encourage you to check it out!
Also, I'm delighted to debut a brand new avatar! I love Kirby as much as the next guy, but he had to take a hike. If YouTube is gonna be something that I take semi-seriously, I can't afford to have my channel's identity hinge on a character owned by the famously litigious Nintendo. The pink puffball's legacy lives on in the color palette, at least.
The upcoming video makes multiple references to the fact that I am simply incapable of drawing, so I gotta give a quick shoutout to the avatar's creator, the illustrious CosmicGelatin! You can see more of his stuff here: twitter.com/CosmicGelatin
All righty, that's all I've got for now. I'll (hopefully) see you all tomorrow!
