SARPF Parliamentarians Study Tour | Singapore, 12–17 July 2026

From Policy to Practice: A Look Inside the South Asian Parliamentarians’ Study Tour | Day 1 - Singapore.

At the Marina Barrage, South Asian MPs from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka started their 4-day study tour on an inspiring note. The Singapore Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment briefed MPs on Singapore's Green Plan and its 2050 net-zero roadmap, followed by a walk through the Sustainable Singapore Gallery with Mr Moh Tiing Liang, MSE. The delegation witnessed first-hand how a single site, a flood barrier that's also a reservoir, a park, and boasts a green roof, can showcase a country's climate strategy.

At the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), COO Mr Niels de Boer hosted the delegation at the TCS-NTU GoZero Hub, an ASEAN Centre of Excellence, with lab tours spotlighting cutting edge decarbonisation and clean energy technologies.

The MPs finished their day with an invigorating discussion at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS), NUS, opened by Dr Amitendu Palit (ISAS) and Hon. Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, Chairman SARPF. The roundtable discussion also featured excellent talks by Ms Tulika Raj (CEO, SungreenH2) and Dr Mirza Sadaqat Huda (ODI Global).
