Hello everyone!
I had a video ready to upload about the situation with my channel but things have changed.
Since around April I have had more than what is required to be a partner on YouTube but I have been unsuccessful in getting my adsense account approved. This wasn't a big deal to me as I was still working in the JET program however, the problem persisted. Now Youtube has announced a change to the partnership program in a few months which will require double the current requirements for the program.
As I am traveling and preparing to cycle all of Japan soon, I lost hope in becoming a partner before starting the journey. I made a video explaining that I will be uploading videos about the journey regardless of the ability to make money from it-
but today I just learned that I was approved for the YouTube partner program.
I can't thank you all enough for this amazing journey so far and I can't wait to take you with me on the journey ahead.
Solo cycling Japan will not be easy, but I can't wait to share it with all of you. Thank you all so so much.

(and if you follow my Instagram you know I am currently in the states for the first time in 2 years, I was hit by a car while cycling on my first day. I am thankfully unharmed but more on that soon 💀🤣)

Hello everyone,
2 days ago was my last day at work and also a massive earthquake in Kumamoto where I live. I partnered with Jake Adelstein and wrote a substack, which you can read at Tokyo Paladin. I was super sure I'd be able to get my next video out on my mega long train ride to Beppu on Sunday but I fell asleep and I'm still sleepy. Hello guys,
If you don't know, I am employed full time in Japan so I make videos on the weekend, but last weekend the video I made didn't feel right so I scrapped it and I felt really bad- but I have good news.‪@Dogen‬ made the video I didn't have time to do right. I think his video very well written, entertaining and gives a lot of context about Japan that people are missing. As for next week's video it's very exciting so stay tuned.
