Fr Seraphim-Oran (Aldea) is the founder and spiritual father of Mull Monastery (The Orthodox Monastery of All Celtic Saints) and Iona Monastery (The Orthodox Monastery of the Mother of God and All Saints of Iona), both in the Hebridean Isles, Scotland.
This Channel is dedicated to supporting these two monastic communities.
We aim to post a new video once a week (on Friday). On good weeks, we may manage even two: one on Tuesday, one on Friday.
This is a far cry from the raw beauty of meeting you all face to face, but it is so much better than nothing, so let's make the most of it.

It is over and we have survived! 😊Our annual (traditionally imperfect) Christmas carols have been recorded! It was a challenge, given that quite a few of us could not sing this year, but what we lacked in talent we made up for in enthusiasm! ❤️As soon as we get them edited, we'll post them on the Channel. From the top of Fingal's Cave on the Isle of Staffa. We are mid-way through our summer pilgrimages and it has been AMAZING. It is always an overwhelming surprise how much joy I get from meeting our pilgrims in person and becoming part of their life stories.

A mosaic icon of the Holy Trinity which we have commissioned for our Monastery on Iona more than a year ago. We still have no idea where it will go, but it is made for the outside, so it should be amazing once it is completely set (we need to wait for the cement board to set) and we can take it out, to brighten our rain :)
PS: It is quite large, a bit over 1.4 metres by 1.1 metres

Our Monasteries have a new priest. THANK YOU all for your prayers over the weekend. God heard the secret prayer of my heart and - in His infinite love and mercy - He blessed the ordination of Fr Fillan as a priest. This is a new beginning for our community and a new source of prayer and sacrifice for the world. Glory be to God for all things!

St Thaney started her life as a sexually abused child and surviving a murder attempt by her own parents, but went on to become one of Scotland's most beautiful Saints and the mother of the beautiful St Kentigern (Mungo). I pray we all find the strength to not only survive our own personal hell, but also to grow in the Lord and become the holy men and women He created us to be.

Assuming God blesses the work, we hope to record the lives of the Celtic Saints on our Iona Monastery YT Channel. Our prayer is that the Saints will remember us on the day of our death as we remember them on the day of their glorification.
May St Morwenna - the beautiful, kind, gentle Saint of Cornwall - bless and protect us all through her prayers before the Lord.
