Welcome to my channel, where autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion take center stage. I’m Matthew Kenslow, an author, educator, and advocate who’s passionate about inspiring others through my story. Born with Autism, I hold degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, and education, and currently work as a substitute teacher aiming to teach mathematics.

I'm the author of Juggling the Issues and Unstoppable, and enjoy juggling, piano, and memorizing facts. I've been in Royal Rangers since age five and earned the Gold Medal. Through this channel, I aim to educate, encourage, and motivate others, especially children and youth. If I can do it, you can too.

These past two weeks without work, due to the holiday break (Christmas/New Year), I literally made between 45-50 YouTube videos for Autism Awareness/Acceptance, and at least half of those nights, I was up all night, just making them. I couldn't stop until I finished. I still have more ideas for future videos, but I'll probably wait until spring break in April or summer vacation; I'm literally good until circa May/June 2026. This isn't including the 100s of reels/shorts I made through them via OpusClips, so I can post on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X. I pray that it'll grow all my channels and importantly, spread Autism/Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion.

But of course, I need your help by please sharing my channel(s) to everyone whom you think will be encouraged and motivated.

4 years ago today was lifechanging—my first day as a student teacher at Ensign Intermediate. I wrote about this extraordinary day, in detail, in my second book, Unstoppable. I later became a substitute teacher and have subbed in nearly 30 NMUSD schools ever since.

I'm thankful for the reception that I received, as an Autistic teacher, from 1000s of students, teachers, administrators, and parents. This shows that being disabled (whether physical or developmental) should never stop you from pursuing your passions.

One of hundreds of testimonials that I received was running into a mother at a Target a couple years ago. She told me that her 6th grade daughter is Autistic, but because her daughter saw me in the classroom, being a living testament of this mindset, she said to herself, "If he could do it, then I could do it." The parent then thanked me for guiding her through her successful journey, unbeknownst to me that I was making such an impact. I was extraordinarily thankful, because that's the reason I'm living, and I'm just praying for more opportunities to be a source of motivation.

6 years ago this evening, there was an active-shooter situation a few blocks away from me. Many neighbors and I stood a safe distance and watched. There, I captured this footage: https://youtu.be/RMEJia2Bseo

The 26-year-old man was taken to the hospital that night.

I'm THANKFUL and motivated by the outpouring of comments on this video, which nearly has 20,000 views on it. I'm thankful for everybody who understands what I stand for--that everybody (disability or not) has purpose on this planet and that everybody has got to start including one another in life. That's why I volunteer doing my assemblies, because it's too important for money; I've given this message to over 13,000 OC students (and counting).

My aunt and a friend of hers are visiting for a few days for Christmas. Tonight, we went on a festive, coastal Christmas night hike to Newport Beach and back; about 5 miles.
