‼️What if the thing you’re praying for will come… but not for another 20 years?

The older I get, the more I realize God’s timing is nothing like mine. The Bible is full of people who waited decades—not because God forgot them, but because He was preparing them.

Abraham waited 25 years for the promise of Isaac (Genesis 21).
Joseph waited 13 years before the dream in his spirit matched the reality in his life (Genesis 37–41).
David was anointed king as a teenager but didn’t sit on the throne for almost 15 years (2 Samuel 5).
Even Jesus waited 30 years before stepping into His public ministry (Luke 3).

So what do you do during the “next 20 years,” when you don’t know the when, the how, or even the why anymore?

You do what they did:
You walk with God in the in-between.
You grow, you heal, you obey, you trust, you keep showing up.
You let the waiting shape you instead of break you.

Because in Scripture, the waiting season was never wasted—
it was always preparation, protection, purification, or positioning.

And maybe that’s the point:
God’s promises aren’t just about what you’ll receive—they’re about who you’ll become while you wait.
