Hey guys just being transparent for a moment.

Between Sterling’s appointment, Cora’s emergency visit for her seizures, and ultimately her cremation, we’re sitting at just under $200 owed.

On top of that, this paycheck is covering rent and bills, and my husband’s check is only around $400 so I’m carrying most of the load financially right now.

If anyone wants to help, I can drop the info in the comments but please no pressure at all. Take care of yourself first always. ❤️

Hey everyone, I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a bit of an unexpected rough spot this week.

With everything that happened with Cora and the sudden vet expenses, it set me back more than I planned for. I thought I had enough fresh veggies to get through, but I came up short and now I’m out of staples like lettuce and cilantro.

Right now the piggies and bunny still have hay and I was able to put together a mix with what I had left (parsley, carrots, and peppers—no peppers for the bunny), but it’s not enough variety to carry them through the week. ( I literally don't know how this happened unless I just miscounted when I was buying veggies)

I don’t get paid until Tuesday, so if anyone is able to help with a small veggie run or even drop off some extras, it would mean a lot to us right now.
As always, shares help just as much. Thank you for supporting me and my animals—we truly appreciate it 💚

I’m heartbroken to share that Cora has passed away.

Over the last couple of days, she began having repeated seizures. We had already seen our exotic vet, and based on everything, it was most likely an underlying cancer that had progressed and started affecting her neurologically.

Today, she went into a very severe seizure. I gave her the medication we were sent home with, but it didn’t stop it, and she never fully came out of it. Her condition declined quickly after that, and she passed at home.

I got Cora in November 2024 from Piggies Paradise along with Crystal. She had been rescued earlier that year by Cavies and Canines Rescue from a terrible hoarding situation. Despite everything she had been through, she was the sweetest, most loving guinea pig.

While this wasn’t how I wanted things to go, I’m grateful she was somewhere familiar, safe, and surrounded by love in her final moments.

Hi everyone,

I hate having to ask for help again, but I could really use a hand with some upcoming vet expenses for my little ones.

Cora has an ultrasound on April 21 and is really struggling. The specialist is two hours away, and the procedure will cost $150 + $50 for gas.

Sterling has an appointment next Tuesday to have his ears rechecked ($50), with the possibility of additional antibiotics if needed.

Eva has a nail trim next Tuesday ($12).
On top of this, I just had an unexpected expense of $130 that I hadn’t planned for, so things are a little tighter than usual.

Anything you can contribute to help cover these appointments would mean the world to me and to them. Every little bit helps, and it all goes directly toward their care.

Sterling had a vet visit today and I wanted to give a quick update.

He’s currently on antibiotics and meloxicam for the next 10 days. The vet wasn’t able to see one of his eardrums because of how much swelling there is, so we’re focusing on getting that inflammation down first before doing anything else.

Because of that, we’re holding off on ear drops for now. If the eardrum is ruptured, certain drops can actually cause neurological issues, so this is the safest route for him.

Right now the plan is meds, rest, and monitoring him closely while we wait for the swelling to go down so they can recheck.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on his eating, balance, and overall behavior. Hoping we start to see improvement soon. 💛

I really wish people would stop getting animals without doing even the most basic research first.
An animal is not just something cute you bring home on a whim. It is a long-term commitment that requires time, money, effort, and actual knowledge.
Before getting any pet, you should be asking yourself: Can I afford vet care, not just the basics but emergencies too? Do I have the time every single day for proper care, cleaning, and attention? Do I actually understand this animal’s needs, diet, behavior, and health risks?
Because the reality is, animals suffer when people don’t think it through. They end up neglected, improperly cared for, or rehomed when it becomes “too much.”
No animal deserves to be treated like a temporary hobby or impulse decision.
Do the research. Be honest with yourself. And if you can’t provide everything that animal needs, don’t get one.

I think my hand vac finally took a crap after 2 years cleaning up guinea pig poop it won't even turn on I don't know what to do right now I can't clean cages without it 😭
