Well as always, the Sun has thrown us another curve ball over the weekend and band conditions are not great. DRAP map shows a radio blackout over North America and South America. So, looks like I will try the livestream next weekend and hopefully conditions will improve. I'm taking the time to do some needed shack rearranging and testing some other devices I have. But if something interesting pops up on the bands I will upload a video to document it. 73 and have a great rest of your weekend!!!

Heavy thunderstorms rolling through about 5 or 6pm this afternoon. So I will be postponing my livestream until these pass through. A squirrel could fart 😂 and our power will go out so I’m definitely thinking we will lose power this afternoon!!! 73 everyone de K4MTW.

My whole weekend has been taken up on this remodel project. It’s nearly 5pm CDT and I’m still in the thick of it!!! So when I am able to pull away I will do a livestream but can’t guarantee it for today! I’m 1/2 way done but a lot more to do!!! Sometimes ham radio has to take a back seat to more pressing priorities! This one was about safety. The old steps were rotted and the Mrs. almost fell. But with that being said I will be earning some ham radio credit😉

Ham radio live will be back next Sunday. I’m having to postpone my live today. I fell last night trying to start out generators up during severe thunderstorms here that caused a power outage. Nothing broken but my back is stiff as a board!!! I’m taking some otc pain relievers and I’m on a heating pad trying to loosen it up. Also I’d like to let the 2 winners of the 500 subscriber giveaway their prizes will be in the mail Friday, so be on the lookout for them after Friday of next week!!! Today I was supposed to be operating during winter field day. First we were told there would be an ice storm. That didn’t happen but it’s really cold and roads are icy in spots. Plus on top of that I have RSV, an upper respiratory virus. I’m down for the count right now. Hope all of you enjoy winter field day whether from the comfort of your home or if you’re able to operate from the field. As for me I’m trying to get over this bug and stay warm.
