💔 Guys, what is going on with TikTok 💔

It’s Sunday 2am here in Australia and we’re about to head to bed, but we’ve only just found out about Mina Chan and the heartbreaking tragedy of her actually ending her life on her recent TikTok Live.

We’re honestly shocked and incredibly saddened. We only found out now, after putting out a light-hearted video, and we’re just sitting here trying to process what we’ve seen and heard. This is why we haven’t been responding to comments tonight.

Only days ago, we did a heartbreaking video about Perez Hilton and his TikTok Live… and now this.

Seriously, what is going on with TikTok right now? This is just so incredibly sad. We honestly don’t even know what to say anymore.

Our thoughts are with Mina’s family, friends and everyone affected by this tragedy. 💔

We are in shock. Literally, complete shock.

We just got home late tonight and had no idea what was going on. We’d seen people online saying that Perez Hilton had done something really bad on a livestream, but we honestly had no idea what they meant. Our minds didn’t even go there. We thought maybe he’d gotten angry or had an argument with people online.

Then Marzi found the clip.

We never, in our wildest thoughts, thought it would be anything like this

The second I saw it, I just started crying. That’s genuinely how I reacted. Marzi, who is usually not shocked by much at all, was standing there with her mouth on the floor in absolute disbelief. We only managed to watch a few seconds before turning it off.

Please, don’t go searching for it.

When people said it was bad, we had no idea it was that bad. It was genuinely traumatising to witness, even for those few seconds.

We don’t know what Perez is going through, and we don’t want to speculate. We know he’s been through an incredibly serious health battle with sepsis this year, but whatever has led to this, we truly hope he’s surrounded by people who can help him and that he gets the care and support he needs.

We also heard that his children weren’t home at the time. If that’s true, thank God they didn’t have to witness something so distressing.

Our thoughts are with Perez, his children, his family. We sincerely hope this is the beginning of him getting the help he needs.

Marzi and I have just finished watching
A Toxic Love Story on Netflix… and wow.

It honestly gave us so much to think about.

Without giving anything away, it really reminds you just how strange the world can be, and how careful we all need to be online. Once something is out there, it can have a way of resurfacing, and you never really know who’s watching or what someone’s intentions are.

It also made us sit down and have a really good chat afterwards.

It’s absolutely pouring with rain here in Sydney tonight, and it’s freezing cold 🥶 so it was the perfect night to watch a documentary like this.

We’ve decided that, going forward, we want this space to be a happier place

We’re not saying everything has to be sunshine and rainbows 🌞 we’ll always have serious conversations, but we don’t want hate to become part of this community.

From now on, strong hateful comments will be removed. We’d rather spend our time with people who are here to have respectful discussions, even if they don’t always agree with us.

Marzi said, life is too short to live in constant negativity

So thank you to every single one of you who has shown us kindness, respect and support. You make this community what it is, and we genuinely appreciate you more than you know.

We’re getting quite a few emails at the moment, and unfortunately, some of them are really quite disgusting, and they’re upsetting both Jodielee and myself

Thank you to everyone who has sent us kind and supportive comments and emails

Please don’t think we’re being rude because we’re not responding to the emails.

Jodielee’s friend works in cybersecurity and has advised her not to respond to any emails at the moment, so we’re going to follow that advice for now.

But to those of you who have sent us kind emails, thank you so much. We really do appreciate them. x

We have five YouTube channels, and honestly, we have NEVER had this issue before or received emails like some of the ones we’re receiving now. We’re just feeling a little shaken if we must be honest.

We hope we don’t come across as sooks because you guys know we’ve NEVER really complained about ANYTHING like this before.

We’re just a little worried at the moment and feel like we need to take a step back.

Has anyone else been getting some really strange emails lately?

We haven’t been keeping up with YouTube over the past week, so we’re probably a bit behind on everything that’s been going on.

The emails are about people I’ve never even heard of before, but they’re mentioning different communities, including the Gypsy community.

They’re telling us to be careful. They’re saying they’re watching everything that’s going on behind the scenes, and honestly…
I don’t know what their motive is.

I don’t know if they’re trying to freak us out.
I don’t know if they’re trying to shut us up.
I don’t know what they want, and I don’t know whether I should just ignore it or share it.

In all the years we have been on YouTube,
across five different channels,
I’ve never received emails like this before.
Ever.

Has anyone else received emails like this lately, or is it just us?
