It's been an eventful couple of days.

This will be the final mention of this situation on this channel before I resume the usual uploads.

Here are some insights and takeaways I would like to share with the community


(1) A lie can travel the world in 1 day, but truth can take years to reach the light of day

(2) Our community has still to understand and accept that you can challenge ideas without being viciously and violently hell-bent on attacking individuals. The recent obsession with personal attacks and Takfir based on what someone "believes" is frightening. Many of you are living in modern societies and have been educated, but something seems to be broken and lost. You cannot defeat ideas by killing (or wishing death) on those who espouse those ideas.

(3) Critical thinking is at an all time low. I genuinely used to engage with the community through provocative and interesting conversation, hoping to exercise critical conversation - and we reached a great level of understanding, however with the influx of Dawah fans onto this channel recently, I can see the radical shift in critical thinking. It's a tidal wave of ad-hominems, emotional outrage and name calling. While I am not the least moved or intimidated by any of this, I am definitely disappointed.

(4) The real Historyun family has done me proud. They stuck to the evidence presented, listened to both sides and asked the questions that mattered without letting prejudice and bias rule over their senses. This is the segment of the Muslim community that I have always been fond of having on this channel, and it has always been the reason for my disclaimers and repeat reminders for certain crops of viewers to unsubscribe and block the channel.


My oath stands. I do not retract a single word nor will I revise or remove the public posts. Those involved in the failed attempt to implicate me in a horrible plot have now been exposed, their fanatical followers have exhausted themselves in the comments by making all forms of accusations and insults, to no avail.

I will continue to work on holding Muslim content creators accountable for their malicious and harmful practices online, that work will remain on my third channel ‪@IntrospectiveMuslim‬ for those interested in that project.

New videos will be posted here in the next couple of days and I encourage anyone who feels the need to unsubscribe from Historyun to do so immediately and without any public ceremony, thank you for your support up to this moment and all the very best in the future.

The following notice is of a very serious situation following an orchestrated and malicious public campaign by Mr Erdi Kilick (Ali Dawah) and his associates.

Due to the large following and public audience I have in this channel, I am making this statement and oath (Mubahallah) to testify to the fact that Ali Da'wah is not only lying but also using wilful deception to cause reputational harm and incite his followers to file false police claims against myself, based on false testimony and fabricated evidence.

Last night, Erdi Kilick published a lengthy video wherein he presented a blurred picture which he claimed was in my possession. This supposed picture was reportedly used by myself to "blackmail" the YouTuber "Muslim Mum".

Additionally, the Muslim Mum has posted a video claiming to have been blackmailed by an unnamed and unidentified individual. In her video, she neither presents the picture in question nor does she make any mention of my name or identity.

Last night, I was contacted by a friend and former student of mine. He is very close to Mr Erdi Kilick and was in total disbelief after hearing the accusations and claims.

He arranged a 3 way conversation between myself, himself and Erdi Kilick. It was agreed that no one should record the phone call. I obliged and so did Erdi Kilick.

During the call, I made a solemn oath by Allah, in which I invoked the eternal curse of Allah upon myself in both this life and the next if I was lying about the fact that I

(1) Never saw or had any knowledge/access of the supposed picture used as "evidence" in Ali Da'wah's false accusation video

(2) If I had used this image to "blackmail" the Muslim Mum

I will invoke that curse once more here, for you to witness.

During the call yesterday, Mr Erdi Kilick was requested to make a similar oath proving that he is 100% certain that the picture he presented was in my possession AND was used by myself to blackmail Muslim Mum. He 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗 and 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗗 that he could not testify to that.

Furthermore, he admitted that the accusation and the image were provided to him by Mr Adnan Khan (Addy-A-Game), a convicted sex offender and class A drug dealer with prior criminal convictions for serious sexual crimes resulting in a 10 sexual offender register. He was also jailed for possession of firearms.

Mr Adnan (Addy-a-Game) sent the false image to Mr Erdi Kilick under the pretext that I had intended to publish these publicly. The image is supposedly 10 years old.

Ali Dawah has refused to swear an oath to verify this claim and has instead offered to request that Mr Adnan swears an oath.

Additionally, Mr Erdi Kilick has used snippets of my videos to imply that I have been making reference to the picture, giving his audience the false and deliberately misguided impression that I was in possession of this image and had intended to leak them.

Once again. I have sworn an oath and I will reiterate that I have never seen or has access to the image in question prior to the video published by Mr Erdi Kilick yesterday, who has himself refused to take the oath in support of this false and wicked accusation. He is now shifting blame on Mr Adnan (Addy-a-Game).

Furthermore, I have been in touch with the Muslim Mum on Instagram and not through ANY other mediums. Our exchange is documented and a FULL (not snipped or edited) disclosure of everything discussed has been published on my second channel @IntrospectiveMuslim.

All of those who have seen and heard the full video have tried to alert Mr Erdi Kilick that he was misrepresenting and falsifying evidence under his comments yesterday, he has deleted and blocked any mention of the channel (as has Muslim Mum) fearing that his audience will have direct access to the full and proper evidence.

I am now going to share a direct link to this video for those coming to this channel seeking clarification. You will have the real and unedited/unclipped evidence.

Finally. I would like to thank Allah for protecting my honour and surrounding me with genuine and honest friends, students and supporters. All of whom have watched the full disclosure on my channel and can testify to the slanderous and wicked lies presented by Mr Erdi Kilick, Mr Adnan (Addy-a-Game) and Muslim Mum, in a desperate bid to cover up for their transgressions and for the fact that Muslim Mum was featured in the Glasgow times in November 2023 taking a selfie with a well known Z celebrity A lister, Isla Fisher.

THAT was the picture in question and it was in the public domain, dated back to only 3 years ago (not 10 years).

Muslim Mum and her team have filed several false YouTube claims to get this video scrubbed from the internet.

I have also captured several messages from Muslim Mum where she acknowledges my genuine concern for her safety and my direct assistance in helping her get a number of videos removed from other channels. She praised my several times and attested to my goodwill, sincerity and kindness.

These messages were not included in Mr Erdi's "evidence" nor were they disclosed by the Muslim Mum.

I then made the terrible mistake of accidentally leaking many of these secret recordings onto this public YouTube channel with approximately 200K subscribers, where nobody would be able to discover my real shia-propagandist agenda (silly me 😓).

There are numerous public lectures and clips of me praising "Sayyidna Muawiyyah (R.A)" on this channel....in fact, I even exposed my hardline Shia bias when I infamously referred to Yazid as "Sayyidna Yazid" in one video but refused to take the clip down.

I am obsessed with Ibn Khaldun and his Muqaddimah. The same Ibn Khaldun who is a HARDCORE Umayyad sycophant, in whose book Yazid is given right over al-Hussein over the incident of Karbala. That's the man whose political school and historical method I owe my own approach to Historiography and political commentary.

I am an adherent of Khaldunian/Umayyad pragmatism, with a purist approach to Realpolitik. I support royal establishments and oppose popular uprisings at any given opportunity.

I am working tirelessly to publish and share more Umayyad leaning content that any other History channel on this platform (check out my series of Ibn Khaldun's political principles and why I believe Ahmad Sharaa is a Boss).

So there you have it, conclusive evidence that Historyun is an undercover Shia propaganda channel that is out to discret the Umayyads.

Historyun has no agenda beyond presenting critical and unfiltered historical reality. I care nothing about labels and I do not play to sectarian bias. It that is a problem for you, then you have options to follow channels that align with your sectarian bias and narrative.

Now that we have addressed that absolutely credible and logical accusations of the delusional critics. Let's get back to serious conversations, between adults.

Banu Umayyad, for all of their efforts and contributions to early Islamic expansionism, were essentially and primarily a hereditary KINGDOM whose rulers held political power for nearly 100 years. They maintained that status by eliminating, reviling and marginalising their direct opponents from the House of Ali.

Plain and simple.

Umayyad policies shaped and moulded many early Sunni attitudes and perspectives towards Leadership, Loyalty and Legalisms when it comes to Ahlul-Bayt.

This was further cemented through well orchestrates administrative campaigns designed to advance historical Reductionism, Redaction, Revisionism and Reinterpretation of key events, in a deliberate effort to polish Umayyad history and normalise their infractions.

These are facts, not opinions that can be disputed or deflected away, regardless of Hisroryun's supposed "Shia agenda".

That's just the inconvenient reality but I am here to engage you critically and honestly, as an Umayyad leaning Historian.

The term "Ahlul-Bayt" in this Hadith does NOT include the Wives of the prophet Muhammad ﷺ nor does it include the father's in law of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Stretching the definition of "Ahlul-Bayt" to explain this Hadith as a general instruction to follow the Sahabah is a common trick used to undermine the impact and weight of this Hadith. While we do not deminish or discount the virtues of the Mothers of the Believers, we cannot play with the texts to uphold the Umayyad Imperative. Read the Hadith as it was intended with the explicit definition given for Ahlul-Bayt in the specific instance (and not in general linguistic meanings).

(1) What did prophet Muhammad ﷺ mean when he said "I leave you TWO weighty things. The Qur'an and Ahlul-Bayt "??

Did he mean this as an instruction to follow the House of Ali in Politically, Spiritually or in Totality?


(2) Why does the alternative narration get more emphasis among Sunnis ("I leave behind the Book of Allah and my Sunnah")?

Who was most likely to benefit from this narration being more prominent, and who was at greater loss from this POLICY (yes, a Policy)??


(3) What would be the implications of the first narration on the Ritual practices and political school of mainstream Sunni Islam, IF the first Hadith were more prominent in the books?

Was the Alid House politically aligned to the Quietist camp or were they closer to the Pragmatic political camp? How does this influence latter Sunni political schools and their approach to tyrannical regimes??

Sorry, according to the Umayyad texts we must not send salawat upon Ali nor should we refer to him as IMAM.

A big no no.

Despite the fact that in every prayer, Allah commands the Muslim to send Salawat upon Ahlul-Bayt (( which is literally a ritual ))

Now. This may sound like "Shia propaganda" but it's actually normative and original Sunni Islam, were it not for the standardisation of Umayyad bias and programming into the essential texts, you too would refer to Ali, Hassan and Hussain as Imams - followed by "Aleihi Salaam".

You are commanded to do so.

Imam al-Shafi' fought very hard against this Umayyad tendency to undermine the status of Banu Hashim at a time when the powers in charge did everything possible to marginalize the mention and praise of the House of Ali.

In his famous poem, he (Shafi) declares that anyone who refuses to send Salawat upon the house of Ali will not have their prayers accepted by Allah, for it is incumbent to send Salawat upon Ahlul-Bayt as a pillar of valid Salah (in the Darood, the first part of which is mandatory up until prayers are sent upon Aale Muhammad ﷺ).

This is a short post, I sense a great unease and reluctance from many therefore the information will be limited (to match the tolerance levels).

Suffice it to say that those who insist on equating Imam Ali, Imam Hassan and Imam Hussein (Aleihim Salaam) to the rest of the Sahabah, have themselves become unsuspecting victims of Umayyad state policy and propaganda.

They were not "Just Sahabah", like the Umayyads would have wished for the masses to believe.

This has ripple effects on a lot more than just how we read history 😉

Some interesting responses to the last post.

Many intelligent responses (and some not so very intelligent). Although it would be a great idea to produce a video elaborating on this topic, I will instead publish a series of posts challenging the community to falsity or defend the argument presented.

Unfortunately, I will have to simplify several elements of the argument for those who have a difficult time grasping abstract concepts (judging by some of the ridiculous conclusions and accusations in the first post).

1. I am not claiming that "Islam was invented by the Umayyads"

2. I am not claiming that the first 3 generations conspired to change Islam

3. I am not claiming that the core Theological principles of Islam were changed during the first 300 years


Perhaps the Nicene reference was too much for some.


What I AM saying is that -

(a) The Political foundations of Sunni Islam were reconfigured to be aligned with Umayyad (and Abbasid) policy

(b) Hadith codification and selection was heavily influenced by state policy and political interests (and this can be this historically). Anti-Umayyad Hadith scholars were heavily persecuted and in some instances even killed for their failure to narrative Hadith praising Umayyad kings such as Muawiyyah

(c) Certain principles of Sunni orthodoxy were undoubtedly adapted to favour state policy, for example - the defacto ruling on how the assassinations of al-Hassan and al-Hussein are to be interpreted and explained

(d) Several ritual practices (including Salah) that contradict the true Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ were introduced by the Umayyads, and remain that way to this day, irrefutable historical proof is widely available and most Sunnis aren't aware that they are practicing Umayyad rituals on a regular basis without knowing.

(e) "Political Quietism" and "Historical Immunity" were granted to the Umayyads without much resistance, paving the way for "Exceptionalism" when it comes to how Islam is applied to certain figures and events in Sunni history ... Imam at-Tahawi's treatise on Orthodox Sunni creed is a proof of this (emphasising the strict and literal emphasis on obeying the tyrannical establishment, a direct result of Umayyad terror visited upon those earlier communities in Madinah and Makkah who attempted to stand up to tyrannical regimes)


Consequently, the rules and measures were adapted to meet Umayyad requirements and later Abbasid needs, too.

Just look at how the tragedy of Karbala and it's sociopolitical implications have been sanitised and largely dismissed by Sunni jurists and Historians. If we are honest, this chapter in early Islamic history deserves far more emphasis and study, but it is generally dismissed as Fitnah and left as an unresolved episode for the "greater good", but in whose interest (if not the Umayyads and later on Abbasids who persecuted Ahlul-Bayt at any given opportunity)?

These are serious questions. You cannot just dismiss them by accusing people of being "crypto-shia" or "following Orientalists", we have to be serious about History.

The difficult questions cannot be silenced or ignored for fear of "Fitnah".

The first 300 years of our history gave birth to several schools of Jurisprudence and Theology, they developed directly under the influence of powerful dynasties in whose interests many of the early proponents either worked towards or at the very least, tried very hard not to confront.

Among them were the schools of of the Mutakalimun, some of which gained state approval from the Abbasid Caliphs on topics are important and critical as to how the Qur'an should be conceptualised (created or eternal etc)...

The idea that there was "no" impact on how Islam was being codified, standardised and implemented during those 300 years is highly questionable.

This does not negate the fact that traditional schools continued to convey the core teachings and beliefs of the earliest community, nor does it imply that the pure creed was somehow distorted and lost (as in the case of the Nicene committee), however based on pure historical evidence.

The Umayyads in particular, changed many of the rules and principles of Sunni Islam, and this wasn't always for the worst (change isn't always negative). To this day, our historical lenses have been warped and coloured by Umayyad leaning commentary and interpretation. Early opponents of the Umayyad kings often accused them of twisting Islam, "killing the Salah" and changing the Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ. This is documented and irrefutable, in fact - what makes Umar Ibn Abdul-Aziz a praiseworthy exception among the most prominent Umayyads is that his political regime was committed towards undoing the very many fundamental changes that were introduced by his predecessors (and would inevitably be reinstated by his successors).

The Umayyad Imperative

Every Muslim can tell you about Christianity's "Moment" during the reign of Constantine the great, when the creed and code of conduct for followers of Christ were codified and standardised across the empire.

What very few Muslims (especially Sunni) can tell you about is the "Umayyad Moment", a key historical milestone that not only cemented the throne of the Umayyads but also modified the codes of conduct and principles of Jurisprudence for the next 1400 years.

"Umayyad Islam" is a thing that many Sunni Muslims follow unsuspectingly. The Abbasids fought to eradicate the world of this brand of Islam however they could not entirely erase or reverse it's impact on jusripudential or traditional fields. A lot of what has become normative practice and belief was cooked up and codified under direct Umayyad patronage and reign.

The first Hadith books, the first Seerah chronicles, the first manuals on Fiqh and most importantly - the earliest political schools , all formulated and standardized under Umayyad influence.

Islam had its "Moment" too, only true historical study and analysis will unravel the extent to which Umayyad policy and influence has fashioned the way Muslims perceive and practice Islam today.

It's all so very interesting, until it gets too uncomfortable.
