Please can you tell me The Gundestrup cauldron was discovered by peat cutters on May 28, 1891so we are told, its authentic. I am wondering... There is a dog on one panel here in the picture. And i am shure there are mandrake roots. They are exact shape even if used as decorative on stalks instead of in the ground.

It seems they have them associated with the dog here 🙄
We didnt know this until after 1891.

But the Samuel Johnson dictionary has the ancient story in it even known in the 1700s. I think from Roman Texts... I wanted to ask.. do you think the story survived and the Roman account is connected to the cauldron era? As i think Pliny the Elder and Strabo must have been writing not that far off the time that cauldron was made???

What do you think, please?

Pliny said that there was some practicing the ancient old religion but that they did not have any temples 😌

Hey ‪@HowardCrowhurst‬​​​ look i made this on the right 🙄 and decorated it. I also got a real one to inspect 🥺 its a bit like a Dalek the living part but it also it is like little bagpipes 😅😅😳 i read some Strange Stories in Pliny the Elder.
But also from the Greeks Pedanius Dioscorides, "the father of pharmacognosy", who was a Greek physician as well. It turns out the word "Anesthesia" originates from a Greek doctor who practiced it in his medicine regime.
