TW: Cancer
I was pretty much told I might only have five years to live. I've been dealing with autoimmune issues since 2008. Things got bad last fall. I was put on a new medication. It made all my symptoms worse. I was finally taken off the medication in January. I have needed all this time since then to recover.
On April 3rd, my Dermatologist mentioned Sezary Syndrome. He took biopsies and ordered lab work. I looked up Sezary Syndrome which is a rare cancer with a five-year life expectancy. I was in shock. My daughter was in the car. I didn't want to tell her about this prospective diagnosis until we knew. I'm sobbing. I called my best friend. She knew exactly what to say and told me I was not going to be alone through any of this and she was going to be with me every step of the way. The same is true for my other best friend. So, I calmed down, went to the car, and we headed off to the lab.
At my suture removal appointment, the results of my biopsies aren't in yet. But my doctor notices two levels in my lab work that are high and refers me to Hematology. My follow up appointment to go over my biopsy results arrives. My amazing best friends both took the day off to be with me at my appointment. The results STILL weren't in!
My Hematology appointment arrives. The doctor has the results of my biopsies. I don't have Sezary Syndrome! And she doesn't see anything glaring in my lab work to indicate that I have Leukemia or Lymphoma!
To say we are relieved is an understatement. I am so grateful for the support I have and grateful for my Lifetime Budgeting System clients who have been so patient with me as I could not keep up with customizing your budgets. I have been feeling consistently better recently and should be able to complete your budgets soon. Then, I'll be back with more content after I complete additional free resources.
These last months have been the scariest of my life, but I appreciate the new perspective I have. We don't know how many days we have, so I plan to continue to make the best of each one with the best people on this earth 🥺 Sending lots of extra love to those struggling with health issues and the loved ones who help them! ❤❤❤

See, in all the practicality of organizing our spaces and finances that I share here at terryelisabeth.com, I find a lot of what goes into overcoming our difficulties with these necessary skills of life is rooted in overcoming things we need to heal from. Our wounds spill into how we handle almost everything ... our spaces, our finances, our relationships. Those wounds are nothing to be ashamed of. Denying our wounds keeps us from healing and growth.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to see people and relationships suffer any longer. Along with the stories of struggle I've heard, I've seen growth and healing in people, and I gotta tell you ... these things look BEAUTIFUL on them. I've been sharing these stories in bits and pieces in my reels. I can't wait to continue to share more. We all need healing in different aspects. Most importantly, we are ALL worthy of healing. Yes, you too, even if you have blatantly messed up, forgive yourself. Let's heal and grow now!

Hello friends! How was your weekend?
I finally had some energy this weekend … thank God! I got a lot of physical things done that I had to let fall by the wayside … cleaning, laundry, etc. I’m also tackling some home projects. I was able to makeover our bathroom in a day! I can’t wait to show you! What home projects do you have planned?
As I continue to catch up on life since recovering, I rearranged my challenge calendar to make May a catchup month.
